(she/her)
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida, I enjoy working with my clients while building their self-esteem and helping them in navigating life transitions. Some of these life transitions my clients may find themselves navigating is life after high school, life during and after college, deciding on a career, or even working through relationships with others and themselves. In addition, I enjoy working with my clients to learn how to cope and manage stress and anxiety. Through my years as a marriage and family therapist, I have learned and utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) tools and implement them when working with my clients to cope with and manage anxiety.
In our first session, you can find us reviewing paperwork, ensuring informed consent, understanding of HIPAA/Confidentiality, rights and responsibilities, etc. This first session is more of a conversation where I am trying to get an understanding of the individual before me, who you are, where you are at and where you would like to go. I understand that a thriving therapeutic relationship has to be mutual, so this is a chance for the client to decide if they feel comfortable to continue, and that the rapport is strong.
My hope is to create a safe, non-judgmental, and comfortable environment for my clients. Feedback from my clients has been that I am validating, to the point, and challenging in a warm and beneficial way. I believe my greatest strength is to be supportive and grasp an understanding of what may benefit my client with where they are at the moment.
My goal is to collaborate with young adults and adults (18-30s) navigating life transitions, stress and anxiety, relationships with others and themselves. My client is an individual that is ready to show up to therapy, willing to be heard and to listen, and to be challenged...ready to create change! My clients are resilient, and I intend on collaborating and helping them by acknowledging their strengths and resources and by introducing skills and tools to add to their "toolbox" as they navigate all that life has to offer them.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My experience with CBT in my sessions with my clients has been positive. Utilizing CBT techniques like decatastrophizing and progressive muscle relaxation has been beneficial for my clients per their feedback and my observations.
