My name is Shelly Keene, and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist living in Anchorage, Alaska, while providing telehealth services to clients in California, the place I’ve called home for most of my life. I’m committed to creating a safe, supportive space where you can express your feelings openly and feel genuinely heard and validated. I’m Steven Frank. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), licensed in California while living in Seattle, Washington. We’ve been in Seattle for 3 yrs and continue to love it here. I meet with California residents on telehealth. I see primarily adults in my practice.
I’ve been licensed since 1983 but actually began to develop a private practice beginning in 1993. While most of my experience has been with clients dealing with mood disorders including depression and anxiety, over the last 4-5 years I’ve been working with those dealing with the effects of PTSD.
I’ve been trained in EMDR.
Prior to attaining my MFT, I worked in iinpatient hospital facilities as a Ca licensed Psychiatric Technician.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA.)
I have been serving the community for 29 years, working with individuals, children, couples, and families. It gives me great joy to work with clients of all ages and from all walks of life. I also find it meaningful partnering with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. I embrace cultural diversity and I think it is fascinating to learn about various cultures and traditions. As someone with a multi-ethic back ground, I’m equipped to address and support challenges relating to cultural conflicts.
I am multilingual in Cantonese, Mandarin, and Vietnamese.
My specialties include: anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, anger, self esteem issues, relationship issues, family dynamics, multi-generational issues, transitional issues, racism, etc.
