Hello, my name is Michael Chavez, LCSW, and I provide individual therapy to adults facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, work related stress, and relationship issues. I understand how tough life can be. Before I became a therapist, I went through my own challenges — unhoused, unemployed, and struggling with substance use. Getting sober and working my way through college wasn’t easy, but it shaped the way I show up for others now: with understanding, patience, and zero judgment.
Hi, I’m Charlene, a licensed therapist dedicated to supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I take an integrative, evidence-based approach, combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop practical skills, increase self-awareness, and create lasting positive change.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), licensed in California, Arizona, and New Mexico. I have a Master of Arts in psychology and have been practicing for 14 years. I help adults of all ages, who are struggling with symptoms relative to anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and other issues, to reduce their symptoms on their path towards mental wellness and the best version of themselves.
As someone who has struggled with self-esteem and identity issues, I can help you re-frame self-defeating thoughts, resolve unconscious inner conflicts, and learn to value and trust your own experience. Therapy can help you feel more authentic, alive, and confident. I don't have the answers for anyone. What I might be able to help with are the questions you may have if you experience anxiety, depressed mood, conflict in your relationship, or if you find feeling good about yourself to be a challenge you can't quite resolve on your own. It takes courage to ask for help. No one really likes feeling vulnerable, including me. But being vulnerable with another person, and with ourselves, is a proven way to repair unhealed wounds and repair the damage life causes.
As an LMFT, I focus on seeing men and women with anxiety and depression by helping them feel more independent, develop their self confidence, set new boundaries with family, and bring new joy and peace back into their daily lives. I am licensed in both Texas and California, and love to see clients remotely for virtual sessions.

I have been working as a therapist with a variety of mental health disorders and systemic family dynamics since 2015. Becoming and MFT was the career goal I had as a teenager, so you could say that pursuing the field is a lifelong dream come true.
My methods of therapy are person led. I like to provide space, and safety to assist you with addressing the reasons you made the brave choice to pursue therapy. I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). It is a gentle, evidenced based method that uses mindfulness and increases coping skills to assist with achieving therapeutic goals. If necessary, I can consult with you if you need me to provide gender affirming letters when required for insurance and surgical and hormonal procedures.
I really appreciate the time that you took to read through all this information, and I hope that it helps you make an informed decision.
