New to Grow
My name is Tiffany Deneau. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience. I have worked both in the inpatient/outpatient setting and have worked with several populations. My primary focus is improving emotional regulation, improving relationships, increasing self-esteem, and achieving personal growth. I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to no longer want to go on with life. I also know what it feels like to finally be out of the hole l was in and to feel whole again. I know how difficult it is to ask for help, but it's also the best decision one can make.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In the first session, I conduct an assessment in order to obtain information where the main areas of focus of therapy will take place. Based on this assessment, I work with each patient to develop a treatment plan in order to create/implement goals. These goals must be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-bound).
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My primary strengths is I provide a welcoming non-judgmental environment. I provide tools that are tailored to each patient specifically, in order to decrease presenting symptoms.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I have experience working in both inpatient/outpatient setting. I have worked with several different populations. I provide a welcoming environment, in order to address primary concerns.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My primary approach to therapy is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which focuses on improving negative thought patterns, and also a Humanistic approach, which focuses on self-discovery and personal growth. Most importantly, I meet each patient where they are currently at and help them make positive decisions.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I have experience working with several different populations, such as teenagers, adults, and the elderly. I have worked with those suffering from anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, OCD, and past trauma. Each patient is approached differently in order to improve presenting symptoms.
