(she/her)
Hi! My name is Ana Maria. I received my master's degree in social work from California State University of Long Beach. I have been practicing social work for the last 17 years. I have worked with adults going through depression and anxiety by providing support and discussing coping skills that can help them improve their mood, relationships and quality of life. I also collaborate with clients helping them to identify clients' strengths and resources to solve their problems. Please note that I am currently not able to complete any letters, reports or forms including but not limited to leave of absence and FMLA.
In our first session, we will introduce ourselves and will explore the challenges you are experiencing. If you are uncertain of what those challenges are we will discuss and find out together. We will also design a treatment plan that is realistic and fits your personal needs.
I have been providing mental health services for over 17 years. I have learned that we all react differently to different situations, crisis, emergencies and changes in life. I enjoy exploring with clients their strengths and capabilities.
I enjoy working with adults who feel overwhelmed by the daily challenges of work/school/home, relationships and changes in their lives. Please note that I am currently not able to complete any letters, reports or forms including but not limited to leave of absence and FMLA.
CBT helps clients to recognize how their thoughts influence their emotions/behaviors. It provides strategies to challenge/reframe negative thinking.
Eclectic therapeutical approach is flexible and draws on techniques and theories from multiple therapeutic approaches instead of relying on only one. I used this approach to focus on clients specifical needs and unique circumstances.
This is a short-term therapy to help clients to achieve their goals using coping skills that are already working for them. I focus on how client wants thing in the future.
