Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University, Bachelors in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino. I help adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, co-dependency, school issues, trauma, among other issues, to help them discover how to become a better version of themselves.
In our first session together we will start with brief introductions, reviewing some important information (such as confidentiality, scheduling), and then dive into the specific reasons why you are seeking therapy. We will then collaboratively set goals to work towards in the following sessions.
Throughout the years, I have taught and guided people in acquiring the skills they need to feel better. I focus on being a supportive presence that helps instill hope, and solutions.
I use a combination of treatment methods, tailored to meet each person's individual needs. Some common goals/outcomes from the methods I use commonly include increased awareness of self, coping/grounding skills building, identifying/challenging unhelpful thinking patterns, emotion regulation, improved self-esteem, communication skills building, decreased problematic symptoms, improved sense of well-being, and more. For reference, some of the main methods I utilize include CBT, Compassion-focused, Mindfulness-based, Narrative, Person-centered, Psychodynamic, Solution-focused, Strength-based, Supportive.
