Sometimes you can understand exactly why you feel or behave a certain way and still find yourself repeating the same patterns. I’m Yvette Weeks, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who helps adults move beyond simply understanding what is wrong. Together, we explore the experiences, beliefs, and protective patterns influencing your life so meaningful change can become possible and sustainable.
Our first session is an opportunity for me to understand you as a whole person, not just a collection of symptoms. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, what you’ve already tried, and what you hope will be different. I’ll also begin exploring the patterns, relationships, experiences, and beliefs that may be contributing to what you’re facing today. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. We’ll identify what feels most important, clarify your goals, and begin developing a direction for therapy that feels collaborative, purposeful, and manageable.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centered, drawing from various theoretical perspectives such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Family Systems Therapy. I believe in tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each client and family, employing evidence-based techniques to promote healing and transformation.
I bring warmth, curiosity, and more than a decade of clinical experience to our work together. One of my strengths is helping clients recognize connections between what they are experiencing now and the patterns, beliefs, or experiences that may be influencing their responses. My approach is active and collaborative. I won’t simply listen and send you home with coping skills. We’ll work together to understand what is keeping a problem in place, build practical strategies for the present, and explore opportunities for deeper change. My background includes extensive work with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, parenting, and family dynamics. I draw from evidence-informed approaches while tailoring therapy to the individual rather than expecting every person to fit the same treatment formula.
I work best with adults who feel stuck in patterns they may understand but have struggled to change. You may be dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-doubt, guilt, relationship difficulties, or feeling overwhelmed by your own reactions. You want more than temporary relief—you want to understand what keeps pulling you back into the same patterns and learn how to respond differently.

I have done therapy several times over the years and never found a right fit. I love Yvette! She listens, makes my feelings valid but also explains ways to help me alter my negative thought process. I'm so happy to have found her and I feel like she has already helped me so much!
