I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with five years of experience providing individual therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions. I am deeply committed to helping clients heal emotionally, build resilience, and reconnect with their sense of worth and purpose. My passion for this work is rooted in lived experience. Moving to Nigeria at the age of six, losing my father at twelve, and later experiencing the loss of my newborn taught me firsthand about grief, strength, and the importance of compassionate support. These experiences shaped both who I am and how I show up as a therapist—with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deep respect for each client’s journey. I believe healing happens when people feel safe, understood, and empowered. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in helping clients move from feeling overwhelmed or stuck toward clarity, emotional balance, and meaningful personal growth.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over three decades of experience in mental health and clinical experience. I draw from 63 years of my own life experience as a gay man, educational (MSW from the University of Connecticut) and practical knowledge. Thus I understand what it’s like to be marginalized, and feel different like you don’t belong. I use a compassionate, non- judgmental, understanding, strength based approach by acknowledging and welcoming your whole person, body, mind, and spirit. I can help one understand who they are? where they've been? and how they can move forward in their life.

Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) based in sunny southern California, living with my partner, of many years, John, and our three cats, three dogs, and tortoise, who by the way, is currently hibernating...and don't we all wish we could do that at times? I have many years of experience working with individuals, and with a varied range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and relationship challenges. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings with many ethnic populations. My style is down-to-earth, relatable, at times, direct, and always with a touch of humor. I love what I do and consider it an honor to help you resolve whatever it might be that is holding you back. I look forward to working with you! Hello, I was born and raised in Stockton, California. I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and in 1997, after 25 yeas of service, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a Farrier (Horseshoer), as well as a structural welder (Ironworker), as those were the most marketable skill that I had. I came to a point where old injuries came back to haunt me and I could no longer walk (several years later, thanks to a surgery through the VA, I can walk again; thankful for that). At this point, I changed professions and out of a desire to work with veterans, I returned to school, accomplishing all that was necessary to become a licensed counselor. I spent another career working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically as a counselor in the Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Center). I recently retired from the Vet Center and now I work part-time here with Grow Therapy. As a retired Marine senior staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) and disabled combat veteran myself, the Vet Center was the perfect job. Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling to combat veterans and provide counseling to survivors of military sexual trauma (MST). Vet Centers also provide group counseling, bereavement counseling and couples counseling when this is determined to be of support to the veteran. Readjustment counseling many times consists of treating/addressing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), I.e., anxiety, depression, exaggerated startle response, hypervigilance, sleep disturbance, etc. Many veterans go on to work as first responders and working with many first responders as well as medical personal, has provided me with a great deal of additional experience.

Hello, my name is Megan. I appreciate you taking the leap to want to do something different in your life. I know how hard talking about some of these big life issues can be like the death of our person, living through the struggle of infertility and acknowledging the weight of our anxiety is too much. Sometimes, we are stuck in our loop and yet, we do not have the perspective how to shift the big feelings to make you start to feel better. In the beginning of working together, I want you to feel comfortable sharing your story. Everyone arrives wanting a witness to their grieving at different stages of their process. Your relationship is to different each person had a different relationship to their person. I believe the importance of listening to what is said in the room or what is not said. Many times we are not able to verbalize our pain of trying to live without our person. I think a very necessary part to our healing is to be witnessed by another. My goal is to always create safety in the room. I am a fairly transparent therapist sharing sometimes my personal journey to connect and help clients realize they are not alone in their pain. I look forward to joining you in your healing journey.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Pasadena, passionate about helping people move past the patterns that make them feel "stuck." As an Asian American therapist, I understand the unique pressures of navigating cultural expectations, family dynamics, and the pursuit of success. Life often feels like a constant cycle of trying to keep up—with professional demands, relationships, or heavy expectations. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to "perform" or have all the answers. Instead, we can slow down and really look at what’s happening beneath the surface of your life. I work with introspective individuals ready for deeper change. Many of my clients are high-achievers who have "made it" on the outside, but internally battle feelings of shame, people-pleasing, or boundary struggles. Whether you’re processing complex family history, navigating identity challenges, or feeling burnt out, I’m here to walk alongside you. My approach blends two core principles: understanding your history and listening to your body. I use an intersubjective approach, which means we work together—using our relationship as a window into how you connect with the world. I also integrate the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) to help you get more comfortable in your own skin. This is about more than just insight; it’s about learning to calm your nervous system so you can navigate life without feeling constantly on edge. Ultimately, I want to help you move toward a life that feels authentically yours. By bringing hidden patterns into the light, we can reclaim your stability and freedom. You don’t have to carry the weight of the past alone.

I will only see patients in-person in my office. Phone calls and texting/emails are used for communication as necessary between visits. Hi. I am the daughter of immigrants which motivated me to study Multicultural community based psychology. I have worked in many different settings from community mental health to private practice. Currently I am the director of a consultation unit for youth and young adults in the foster care system. I really enjoy working with people on how to maximize their potential to create happier lives; sometimes this is achieved through more traditional therapy while other times this may require life coaching. I do not believe that therapy needs to be a continuous life long process, but rather a process individuals move in and out of at different stages of their lives.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step—especially if you’re not totally sure what to say or where to begin. My job is to make that part easier. I’m a licensed therapist who works with people dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, burnout, low motivation, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Some clients come in with something specific going on, while others just know something feels off and want to figure it out. Both are completely welcome here. In our work together, we focus on what’s actually happening in your day-to-day life and how to create real, noticeable changes—not just talk in circles. I aim to keep sessions practical, collaborative, and grounded so you leave with clarity and a better sense of direction. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space where they can be honest without feeling judged or analyzed. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear plan before starting—we’ll figure that out together. If you’re looking for therapy that feels straightforward, supportive, and focused on helping you move forward, I’d be glad to work with you.
