About me

I’ve had the honor of working closely with children, families, and individuals healing from various forms of trauma and impacts of mental health from a cultural lens. Along the way, I’ve gained a deep understanding of the many different ways family life can shape us—sometimes in unexpected or challenging ways. I’ve worked in a variety of roles and settings, as a Director, Clinical Supervisor, across government agencies to private and mental health centers, which has helped me see each person’s story from many angles. My approach is compassionate yet direct, down-to-earth, and tailored to you. Whether you’re looking for support for yourself, your family, or your relationships, I’m here to walk alongside you with kindness and respect. Together, we’ll create a safe space to explore, heal, and grow at your own pace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you—your story, your goals, and what’s bringing you to therapy now. We'll talk about what’s been going on in your life, what you’d like to change or explore, and any questions or concerns you have about the therapy process. This session is also a chance for us to see if we’re a good fit and to begin creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and tailored to your needs. There’s no pressure to dive too deep right away—this is your time, and we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my therapeutic approach apart is a compassionate blend of proven tool s tailored to each client’s unique experience—especially those working through different types of trauma, relationship betrayal, and life transitions. I focus not only on healing past wounds but also on building resilience so clients can navigate future challenges with greater strength and confidence. My work often involves veterans, high achievers, and women in transition who are motivated to move beyond survival toward thriving. Clients consistently report feeling more grounded, empowered, and able to create meaningful change in their lives, often experiencing measurable improvements in emotional well-being, relationships, and overall life satisfaction.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to support clients who are navigating life transitions, healing from relationship wounds or betrayal, working through trauma, or looking to reconnect with themselves and others in more meaningful ways. Many of my clients come in feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain—but they’re also motivated for change and ready to explore what’s next. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, loss of direction, intimacy challenges, or the emotional impact of past experiences, I work with individuals who want to feel more grounded, confident, and aligned in their lives. If you're seeking a supportive, nonjudgmental space to process, grow, and take practical steps forward, I’m here to help you do just that.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR therapy as a way of helping clients loosen the knots that painful experiences have tied within them. Trauma can feel like echoes that never fade or burdens carried long after the moment has passed. Through gentle rhythms—like the sweep of eye movements or the steady beat of tapping—the mind is invited to release what has been stuck, allowing old wounds to soften. Many find that the memories lose their sharpness, the weight begins to lift, and space opens for calm, clarity, and the possibility of moving forward with greater ease.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to walk alongside clients as they navigate life’s turning points—whether it’s the closing of a relationship, the uncertainty of a career shift, or the unfolding of a new chapter. Often, transitions awaken old patterns of fear, self-doubt, or paralysis, and CBT offers gentle yet practical ways to untangle those thoughts and create space for new perspectives. Together, we nurture healthier ways of thinking and coping, planting the seeds of clarity, resilience, and confident action. This work can be especially grounding for those who feel stuck or overwhelmed, helping them step forward with greater ease and self-trust.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I weave mindfulness into my work as a steady anchor, helping clients find safety and grounding as they move through deeper healing. In the midst of EMDR, CBT, or life’s difficult transitions, mindfulness offers a way to return to the present moment, softening overwhelm and restoring balance. Through gentle practices like breathwork, grounding, and body awareness, clients learn to calm the nervous system, strengthen resilience, and cultivate a sense of inner steadiness. When paired with other therapeutic approaches, mindfulness becomes more than a practice—it becomes a refuge that nurtures lasting emotional and mental well-being.

Sex Therapy

I support clients in navigating the tender terrain of intimacy, desire, and sexual connection—especially when health challenges, past betrayals, addiction, or life transitions such as aging, childbirth, or separation shape these experiences. In our work together, sex therapy becomes a safe and compassionate space, free from judgment, where concerns around physical closeness, emotional intimacy, and communication can be gently explored. I integrate this process with other therapeutic approaches to address the deeper emotional and relational layers, always honoring each person’s pace and sense of safety. Whether someone is healing from pain, rebuilding trust, or longing to reconnect with themselves or their partner, this work invites the possibility of restoring confidence, closeness, and pleasure in a way that honors the whole self.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

n my work, I lean into Solution-Focused Therapy as a way of honoring the resilience my clients already carry within them. Rather than dwelling on what is broken, we look together toward what is possible—cultivating small steps that grow into meaningful change. I believe every person holds the seeds of their own healing, and my role is to help nurture those strengths so they can take root and flourish.
