I’ve had the honor of working closely with children, families, and individuals healing from various forms of trauma and impacts of mental health from a cultural lens. Along the way, I’ve gained a deep understanding of the many different ways family life can shape us—sometimes in unexpected or challenging ways. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, from government agencies to private and mental health centers, which has helped me see each person’s story from many angles. My approach is compassionate yet direct, down-to-earth, and tailored to you. Whether you’re looking for support for yourself, your family, or your relationships, I’m here to walk alongside you with kindness and respect. Together, we’ll create a safe space to explore, heal, and grow at your own pace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you—your story, your goals, and what’s bringing you to therapy now. We'll talk about what’s been going on in your life, what you’d like to change or explore, and any questions or concerns you have about the therapy process. This session is also a chance for us to see if we’re a good fit and to begin creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and tailored to your needs. There’s no pressure to dive too deep right away—this is your time, and we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my therapeutic approach apart is a compassionate blend of proven tool s tailored to each client’s unique experience—especially those working through different types of trauma, relationship betrayal, and life transitions. I focus not only on healing past wounds but also on building resilience so clients can navigate future challenges with greater strength and confidence. My work often involves veterans, high achievers, and women in transition who are motivated to move beyond survival toward thriving. Clients consistently report feeling more grounded, empowered, and able to create meaningful change in their lives, often experiencing measurable improvements in emotional well-being, relationships, and overall life satisfaction.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to support clients who are navigating life transitions, healing from relationship wounds or betrayal, working through trauma, or looking to reconnect with themselves and others in more meaningful ways. Many of my clients come in feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain—but they’re also motivated for change and ready to explore what’s next. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, loss of direction, intimacy challenges, or the emotional impact of past experiences, I work with individuals who want to feel more grounded, confident, and aligned in their lives. If you're seeking a supportive, nonjudgmental space to process, grow, and take practical steps forward, I’m here to help you do just that.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR therapy to help veterans and people who've been through difficult relationships or situations heal from trauma. It works by helping the brain reprocess painful memories so they no longer feel overwhelming or stuck. Instead of talking in detail about the trauma, we use gentle techniques like eye movements or tapping to help the mind and body release it. Many clients find EMDR helps them feel calmer, more in control, and able to move forward with less emotional weight sooner.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients who are going through major life transitions—like ending a relationship, changing careers, or stepping into a new phase of life. CBT helps identify unhelpful thought patterns that may be creating fear, self-doubt, or emotional paralysis, and teaches practical tools to shift those patterns. Together, we focus on building healthier ways of thinking, coping, and taking action, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence. This approach is especially helpful for clients feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of their next step.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness-based techniques as a foundational part of my work because they help clients stay grounded and feel safe while doing deeper therapeutic work. Whether we're using EMDR, CBT, or processing difficult life transitions, mindfulness supports the process by helping clients stay connected to the present moment and regulate their emotional responses. Practices like breathwork, grounding, and body awareness help reduce overwhelm, build resilience, and create a sense of internal stability. When combined with other modalities, mindfulness becomes a powerful tool for healing that supports lasting emotional and mental well-being.

Sex Therapy

I help individuals and couples navigate challenges related to intimacy, desire, and sexual connection—especially when those challenges are linked to medical/health issues, past betrayal, addiction, or life transitions like aging, childbirth, or separation. Sex therapy provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore concerns around physical intimacy, emotional closeness, and communication. I integrate this work with other therapeutic approaches to address the underlying emotional and relational dynamics, always working at a pace that feels safe and respectful for each client. Whether someone is healing from sexual pain, rebuilding trust after betrayal, or simply wanting to reconnect with themselves or their current or new partner, sex therapy helps restore connection, confidence, and pleasure in a healthy, whole-person way.
