Your present circumstances don't determine where you go; they merely determine where you start. -Nido Qubein I take a whole person and collaborative approach to therapy, catering therapy to the individual sitting in front of me. My specialties are in the field of grief and loss.

In a previous career, I hired, trained and developed people with the goal of them becoming the best version of themselves.

Grief is not just bereavement, it is also the loss of a job, a relationship or a dream.

First session

In our first session, I go over our legal and ethical guidelines to set a safe and secure working environment. We will spend time to explore some history, previous experience with therapy and what goals you have at this point in time.

Strengths

In a previous career, I hired, trained and developed people with the goal of them becoming the best version of themselves. In therapy, through our connection and collaboration we are working on the same. My goal is to see a client come into therapy with a goal, yet to leave as better version of themselves, even if small steps are made on this journey to taking bigger steps. I like to open one up to exploring the self and the world around them in new ways.

Ideal clients

Anxiety, grief and loss may be present during different times in our lives. As a licensed, marriage and family therapist I have the ability to meet you wherever you are in the life span process. I am a certified Expressive Arts Therapist and can integrate this work into our sessions for those who are open to it. This work is beneficial to those going through life transitions and are looking for new ways to view the world. I am also an approved provider for State Approved Gambling Counseling in the State of Calfornia.

I have tried therapy a couple times over the last 2 years and Michelle is the first one who I felt really good about. She is very easy to talk to and provides a wonderful space to talk through life while giving great knowledge and understanding. She is very thorough and provides great feedback and communication.

I am only two sessions into my time with Michelle but I am already feeling a lifted weight. Michelle is both warm and direct and I really appreciate the way that our conversations flow. She is incredibly kind and has a natural way of offering insight so that you don't feel "analyzed". I am grateful for my time with her and am looking forward to continuing our sessions.
