LCSW, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of dedicated experience in the field of mental health. Fluent in both Spanish and English, I am committed to bridging cultural and linguistic gaps to provide comprehensive and inclusive care to individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. My approach is grounded in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where client can explore their unique experiences, values, and challenges. My goal is to empower each person I work with to navigate emotional difficulties, strengthen relationships, and build resilience in the face of life's complexities.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introduction and begin building a connection. Together, we will identify your goals and create a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and circumstances. We'll take time to ensure you feel heard and supported, and we'll wrap up by scheduling a follow-up session to continue your therapeutic journey.
My greatest strength lies in my ability to build meaningful, trusted relationships with my clients by creating a culturally sensitive, safe, and nonjudgmental space. I meet each person where they are, with empathy and respect, and help them feel seen, heard, and empowered to take steps toward healing and growth.
I enjoy working with diverse individuals who are navigating major life transitions, relationship challenges, work-life balance, cultural adjustments, and the unique stressors that arise throughout life. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in empathy and cultural sensitivity.
Through both formal training and hands-on experience, I have developed a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), a proven, evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and reshaping negative patterns that influence emotions and behaviors. I often use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to support clients in understanding the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. This includes identifying automatic thoughts, challenging cognitive distortions, and replacing them with more balanced and constructive perspective.
As a bilingual clinician with experience working with diverse, often underserved populations, I prioritize culturally sensitive therapy in every aspect of my practice. I understand that culture deeply influences how individuals experience mental health, express emotions, and seek support. My goal is to create a therapeutic space that honors each client's culturally identity, values, and lived experiences.
In practice, I use DBT to help clients build insight and skill to manage overwhelming emotions, reduce self-destructive behaviors, and improve relationships.
Motivational Interviewing have taught me the value of meeting clients where they are- without pressure or judgement-and using a collaborative, empathetic style to support personal growth.
In my practice, I use mindfulness to help clients slow down, tune into their internal experience, and build non-judgmental awareness of thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations.
