Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect to develop a deeper and more meaningful understanding of their internal world, including how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact and influence daily functioning, relationships, and overall well-being. Through a collaborative and structured therapeutic process, clients learn practical, evidence-based strategies to effectively manage anxiety, depression, emotional distress, and relational challenges, while gaining greater awareness of unhelpful patterns that may be keeping them stuck. By integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with humanistic approaches, treatment addresses both symptom reduction and the person as a whole. Clients are supported in building emotional resilience, strengthening coping skills, improving emotional regulation, and enhancing self-esteem and self-worth. Therapy is tailored to each individual’s needs, encouraging self-compassion, accountability, and personal insight. Sessions are intentionally designed to empower clients to make sustainable, positive changes, improve decision-making, and restore a sense of balance and control in their lives. Within a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment, clients are invited to explore challenges openly, develop confidence in their abilities, and foster lasting personal growth that extends beyond the therapy room.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What distinguishes my therapeutic approach is the intentional integration of evidence-based structure with deep human connection. I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with humanistic principles to create treatment that is both clinically effective and genuinely personal. CBT provides clear direction, practical tools, and measurable progress, helping clients understand and change unhelpful thought and behavior patterns. The humanistic foundation ensures that this work occurs within a space of empathy, authenticity, and respect, where clients feel truly seen and valued rather than judged or reduced to a diagnosis. This balanced approach allows clients not only to reduce symptoms, but to develop lasting insight, emotional resilience, and self-trust. Clients often report increased clarity, improved emotional regulation, stronger relationships, and greater confidence in their ability to navigate life’s challenges. By addressing both what needs to change and who the client is, therapy becomes a transformative process that supports meaningful, sustainable growth rather than short-term relief alone.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal patient is someone who may not have all the answers yet but is willing to show up honestly. It is the individual, couple, or family who recognizes that something is no longer working and has the courage to seek support, even when fear, doubt, or exhaustion are present. My ideal patient is not defined by a diagnosis, a past mistake, or a crisis, but by a desire for growth, understanding, and change. I work best with those who are open to self-reflection and willing to explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and lived experiences. This includes individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, anger, grief, or identity concerns, as well as couples committed to rebuilding trust, improving communication, and healing emotional wounds. Perfection is never expected—commitment, honesty, and effort are. My ideal patient values a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration, and is open to learning practical tools while also being seen and understood as a whole person. I welcome those who have tried therapy before and those who are beginning for the first time. Whether someone feels stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for something different, my practice is a place where they can feel safe, challenged, and supported as they move toward clarity, resilience, and meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the primary approach used in my clinical practice because it is an evidence-based, structured, and goal-oriented treatment that has been extensively validated in clinical research and is strongly supported by the DSM-5-TR for a wide range of mental health conditions. CBT focuses on identifying and modifying maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress, empowering clients with practical skills they can apply in daily life. Its collaborative and time-limited nature allows for measurable progress, improved emotional regulation, and lasting change, making it an effective and ethical approach for treating anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and behavioral challenges across diverse populations.

Humanistic

Adding a Humanistic approach to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is highly relevant because it ensures that treatment is not only effective, but also deeply person-centered and relational. While CBT provides structure, skill-building, and evidence-based interventions, the Humanistic approach emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, authenticity, and respect for the client’s lived experience. This integration strengthens the therapeutic alliance, which research consistently identifies as a key predictor of positive outcomes. By combining CBT with Humanistic principles, therapy addresses both symptom reduction and the client’s inherent capacity for growth, allowing clients to feel understood, valued, and empowered while actively working toward meaningful and sustainable change.
