New to Grow
Hi! I'm a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Social Worker and I've been in the field of Social Work for 11 years and licensed for 6 years. I'm second-generation Latinx and understand the importance of cultural difference that may contribute to different concerns and life stressors. I have worked with a diversity of individuals that include children and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem and stress. I have supported and guided people to recognize their strengths and learn different ways to cope and manage their concerns.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session will be an introduction and focused on learning what brings you to therapy and things that are important for you to get from treatment. We will take this time to discuss any questions that you may have about the process and I will ask questions to understand your unique situation. We will also discuss a treatment plan to guide the expected goals during our work together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths are that I'm compassionate, warm and non-judgmental. I create a safe place for people to feel comfortable, validated and empowered.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I frequently work with adults that are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress and low-self esteem. I work well with clients that may need extra support to find different ways to manage their unique situation.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral treatment is evidence-based, structured and goal oriented. The goal is to change negative thought patters and behaviors. This treatment explores the connection between thoughts, feelings and actions. This is used to during sessions to educate the patient and empower them to learn and use coping skills to manage their situation.
