As a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), I specialize in supporting first-generation individuals and those who have experienced trauma, postpartum, anxiety, depression, and family challenges. My therapeutic approach integrates client-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic work to offer a holistic and personalized treatment plan that addresses both the mind and body. I deeply value creating a safe, collaborative, and empathetic space where clients feel heard and supported. My goal is to help clients process past experiences, gain self-acceptance, and build empowerment and confidence. I believe that therapy is a partnership, and I work closely with clients to explore their feelings, foster self-awareness, and help them develop the tools to thrive in their relationships—with themselves, their families, and their partners. Over the past 6 years, I have had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages, with a particular focus on first-generation immigrants. I offer services in both English and Spanish and find great fulfillment in helping clients navigate the unique pressures and challenges that come with balancing multiple cultural identities.

“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”― Rumi. I believe that even in our darkest moments, we can find the light. Sometimes we just need someone to point us in the right direction. I tailor my practice to the individual, meet them where they are, and strive to create a safe environment to promote healing, awareness, and growth. I am not the expert on you; you are the expert on you. I am solution-focused and strengths-based in my practice. I utilize evidence-based CBT interventions that are goal-oriented and empowering, and my approach is collaborative. I grew up in New York City, so I am straight to the point, but I will meet you with compassion and empathy.

I was born in Odessa, Ukraine, and immigrated to the United States at twelve with my family as Jewish refugees escaping antisemitism. This experience shaped my understanding of safety, identity, and belonging. It taught me that love and connection are things we create intentionally, through effort and care – not things we can take for granted. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and my Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University, where I trained in Ego Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. During my school years, I came out as gay, which shaped my understanding of vulnerability, acceptance, and love. Later in my life, through continued internal work and community connection, I came out again – this time as nonbinary. These experiences inform my work with couples: love deepens when we are allowed to be fully seen. For over 15 years, I have worked within one of the largest healthcare systems in the United States, supporting individuals and couples across diverse identities and lived experiences, including many within the LGBTQIA+ community. That work reinforced what I know to be true about love: it requires communication, boundaries, repair, and the willingness to try again. I completed a 6-month didactic rotation at the largest health care system in the country and UCSF in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, a research-supported approach focused on strengthening bonds and restoring emotional security. I have also earned a certification in Level 1 and Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, an evidence-based method that helps couples grow friendship, manage conflict, and build lasting connection. In therapy, I help couples slow down, observe what is happening between them in the present moment, and make different choices.

Hi, I’m Alexa Eguchi Diaz, LMFT. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist passionate about supporting individuals through recovery, mental health challenges, relationship difficulties, trauma, and meaningful life transitions. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to be vulnerable, and encouraged enough to grow. My approach is warm, collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in attachment-based, psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and cognitive behavioral therapies. I believe our thoughts, emotions, experiences, and relationships all influence the ways we cope and move through life. In our work together, we may explore the deeper patterns that have shaped how you see yourself and relate to others while also developing practical tools to help you navigate challenges in the present. I believe meaningful change involves both understanding yourself more deeply and practicing new ways of responding. I especially enjoy working with individuals who feel stuck in patterns they understand but have difficulty changing, are navigating recovery, or are experiencing challenges with relationships, boundaries, self-trust, or major life changes. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. My role is not to tell you who you should be or what choices you should make. Instead, I want to help you better understand yourself, identify what matters most to you, and feel more confident in creating a life that feels authentic, connected, and sustainable.

I am a professional counselor with a combined 14 years of experience in educational counseling, psychotherapy, severe mental illness and psychiatric evaluations. Overall, I am a counselor, but as a person, my life experiences are what have influenced the different areas of counseling that I am involved in. I immigrated to this country at a young age and the experiences that I had as a student led me down the path of school counseling. I wanted children who were bilingual to have a positive experience in which they didn’t feel that their language barrier was equated to their general educational abilities. I grew up in an area that was plagued with poverty, drugs, homelessness. Where high school dropout rates, teenage pregnancy and early death due to gangs were amongst some of the many challenges that were faced daily. I became intrigued by the power of the mind and the resiliency that we as humans have. Wanting to understand people's behavior led me to study psychology and work in severe mental health. I had a desire not only to help, but to understand how we can be affected by our environment and overcome it, to know where our human resilience came from.

Hi, I’m Joshua. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience helping people navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and times when life simply feels overwhelming. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are more than the problems that brought you here. I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS), an approach that helps us understand the different “parts” of ourselves, including the anxious, critical, angry, fearful, or protective parts that can sometimes leave us feeling stuck. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with me?” IFS helps us become curious about what these parts may be trying to protect us from and what they need to feel safe enough to change. You won’t find judgment in my therapy room. You also won’t be expected to figure everything out on your own. We’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you, helping you better understand yourself, heal old wounds, and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself. My goal is not to change who you are. It’s to help you discover more of the calm, confidence, clarity, and strength that may already be there beneath the noise.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with three years of experience helping people navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, and the challenges that come with life. My approach is humanistic and grounded in CBT, while also drawing from my interest in neuroscience, human behavior, and a person-in-environment perspective. I believe who we are and how we respond to life are shaped not only by our thoughts and emotions, but also by our relationships, experiences, and the environments around us. Together, we can explore what may be keeping you stuck, better understand yourself, and work toward meaningful change in a way that feels authentic to you.

I have 26 years experience working with children, families, individuals, and adults, as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I currently work with individuals who are over eighteen. My therapy style is warm, thoughtful, and respectful. I am EMDR certified, and I bring mindfulness based techniques, and IFS informed interventions into my work with my clients. We all have resilience and the ability to heal, we just sometimes need a little help finding it, and we all need someone with whom we can express ourselves fully. In discussing our challenges, we can transform our lives. Have you had experiences that have been painful, or hard to move on from? I am EMDR certified, and have extensive experience in trauma, parenting, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, autism, OCD, mindfulness, relaxation training, gender and orientation issues, I speak English, Spanish and French fluently.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, difficult life transitions, addictions, and relationship challenges. I believe therapy is a journey inward—one that honors the mind, heart, and spirit and can ultimately create greater peace, connection, and satisfaction in life. My work is grounded in the belief that we each have inner strengths and wisdom that can become difficult to access when we are overwhelmed by loss, change, painful experiences, or long-standing patterns. Therapy can help us reconnect with those strengths, develop new ways of coping, and move toward a greater sense of clarity and self-compassion. I sometimes think of this as reconnecting with our Best Self—rediscovering the qualities within us that allow us to live more authentically . I hold a Master of Arts in Spiritual and Counseling Psychology and have trained in grief and loss, community mental health, psychiatric settings, and addiction treatment as well as maintaining a private practice. I am committed to creating a safe and compassionate space where clients can explore what is difficult while also discovering their capacity for growth and change. My approach is integrative and relational. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and shift unhelpful thoughts and patterns; mindfulness and acceptance-based practices to cultivate present-moment awareness and self-compassion; and existential/spiritual perspectives to explore meaning , authenticity and purpose. Therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we make space for your experiences, your relationships, your losses, and the transitions you are facing—while honoring the wisdom you have gained along the way. Whether you are seeking relief from emotional pain, navigating a significant life change, or simply wanting to feel more connected to yourself and your life, therapy can offer an opportunity to reconnect with what is strong, meaningful, and alive within you.

My style is warm, curious, engaged, and down-to-earth. I’m not the kind of therapist who sits silently and occasionally asks, “How does that make you feel?” I’ll be right there with you—asking questions, noticing patterns, offering perspective, and sometimes bringing humor into the room when it feels right. I work especially well with thoughtful, self-aware people who have done a lot of thinking about themselves but still find themselves caught in patterns they can’t quite think their way out of. You may be successful and capable on the outside while privately struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, relationship patterns, or a persistent sense that something is missing. I also work with people who feel disconnected—from their emotions, their relationships, or even themselves. Sometimes that disconnection developed for very good reasons. If you learned early in life to stay in control, rely on yourself, push feelings aside, or keep others at a distance, those strategies may have helped you survive difficult experiences but now leave you feeling stuck or alone. My approach is grounded largely in Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, mindfulness, and somatic work. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” we get curious about what happened, what you learned to do to survive or belong, and what different parts of you may still be trying to protect. Our work is about more than understanding yourself. It’s about experiencing yourself differently—with more compassion, more choice, deeper connection, and less internal noise.
