Brooke Bruneman

LMFT (she/her)5 years of experience

Hi, I'm Brooke! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, and life's ups and downs.

You don't have to have it all figured out to start figuring yourself out

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, feel understood, and get to know yourself a little better along the way.

First session

Our first session is really about getting to know each other. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you've been experiencing, and what you're hoping to get out of our time together. There's no pressure to share everything right away. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, comfortable, and hopeful about moving forward.

Strengths

I bring curiosity, empathy, and a genuine interest in understanding your experiences. I'm not afraid to ask thoughtful questions or gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I want our sessions to feel like a natural conversation where we can explore things together.

Ideal clients

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in your own head, or unsure of what comes next. Maybe you're navigating anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, or changes in your life. You might be looking to better understand yourself, break old patterns, or simply feel more like yourself again. You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to start. Just a willingness to explore, reflect, and grow along the way.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help you recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we'll explore unhelpful thought patterns, challenge beliefs that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical ways to respond to challenges differently.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help you navigate difficult thoughts and emotions without feeling like you have to fight or control them. We'll explore what matters most to you, practice making room for uncomfortable feelings, and work toward making choices that align with your values.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate DBT skills to help you better understand and manage overwhelming emotions. This might include learning ways to cope with distress, stay grounded in the present moment, communicate your needs, and navigate challenging situations with greater confidence.

Psychodynamic

I use a psychodynamic approach to explore how past experiences and underlying beliefs may be influencing how you think, feel, and relate to others today. Together, we'll work toward recognizing patterns, understanding where they come from, and creating space for new ways of responding.

Attachment-based

I use an attachment-based approach to explore how your experiences in relationships may shape the way you connect with others and yourself. We'll look at patterns around trust, closeness, and emotional needs, while working toward building healthier, more secure connections.
