(she/her)
I am Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I have been practicing therapy since November 2015 and licensed since January 2023. The modality I mainly use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but also pull from other modalities as one modality may not fit all clientele. I have had experience with self-esteem, couples, anxiety (mild to moderate levels), depression (mild levels), grief/loss and end of life. I have work with prior law enforcement experience, substitute teacher (Elementary thru High School), and various other vocational experience. NOTE: I am not a psychiatrist, so I do NOT prescribe medication. Additionally, I do NOT provide Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters, nor do I am I a court therapist, do so NOT offer court documentation. Furthermore, I do NOT supply any other documentation for clients that require a letter of proof of therapy.
On the first session I will get a brief history of your life from birth to now, to hear your story about how you came to be at this point in your life. Also, this is a chance for us both to see if we are a good fit for each other, as therapy will only work when you can find a therapist who you can feel comfortable with and be vulnerable if need be. I tell my client's therapy is like Cinderella's show, you have to find the right fit, or it won't work. You may have to try on a few pairs before finding the right one, but once you do, let the healing start.
I am truly here to help you heal, grow, and be your best version of yourself, with no judgment as we all have things we need to work on and can grow.
I work best with adults who are ready to engage in the therapeutic process and are committed to making meaningful changes in their lives. Therapy is an active process that requires honesty, self-reflection, and a willingness to practice new skills outside of sessions. While there is no "perfect" time to begin therapy, meaningful progress is often made when you are ready to invest in yourself and the work that healing requires. If you are not at that point yet, that is completely okay. When you are ready, I would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey. My role is to provide a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, identify areas for growth, and develop the tools needed to reach your goals. At times, I may serve as your guide, your sounding board, or someone who offers honest and compassionate feedback. Whatever your needs are throughout the process, I strive to meet you where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be. Because consistency is an important part of successful therapy, I maintain a firm attendance policy. Frequent no-shows, repeated late cancellations, or ongoing rescheduling may result in the discontinuation of services. This policy helps ensure continuity of care and allows appointment times to remain available for clients who are committed to treatment.

I like how at the end of the session she ensures I'm clear on what I need to be working on for the week in correlation with the topics of that session and previously set goals.

At first I was really nervous it being my first appointment. Rochell made me feel less anxious by being authentic and warm. She made it clear that she is there to help without judgement.

Rochell was great! I really enjoyed my time. She was very authentic and listened very well and provided me with her own examples which was great to relate with.
