Welcome—I'm glad you're here. I'm a licensed therapist with over 15 years of experience helping adults build stronger, more compassionate relationships—with themselves and with others. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-critical thoughts, and the feeling of being stuck or disconnected from what matters most. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based therapies including Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work. These approaches help clients not only manage emotional challenges, but also clarify their values and move toward a more meaningful, fulfilling life. At the heart of our work is the belief that healing comes through greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and self-compassion. Whether you're struggling with a harsh inner critic, navigating a transition, or simply feeling out of alignment, therapy can help you reconnect with your strengths and make choices that reflect who you truly are. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed—but leave with greater clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose. If you're ready to move forward with more self-kindness, intention, and meaning, I’d be honored to support your journey.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions to help you feel comfortable and grounded. From there, we’ll explore the specific challenges you're currently facing and what’s bringing you to therapy. This conversation helps me understand your unique needs and allows me to begin crafting a personalized plan for our work together. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel seen, heard, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
I curate a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable exploring tender emotions, while feeling truly seen and heard. I attune to your unique needs and adjust our work accordingly. Over the past 15 years, I’ve developed a compassionate yet direct communication style. If you appreciate honest feedback delivered with kindness, you’ll likely feel aligned with my approach. Our sessions are typically focused on building weekly coping skills that support your emotional well-being and move you toward your treatment goals. Together, we’ll practice and explore different tools, so you can discover what works best for you. Some skills may resonate more than others—but you’ll leave with a well-rounded toolbox for handling life’s challenges. We can also set weekly goals to keep you focused and motivated. I offer guidance, structure, and accountability to help you stay on track, while honoring your pace and preferences. Our work is always collaborative and client-led, as we identify and begin to gently erode patterns that no longer serve you.
Who I Work With ~I work with adults, typically between the ages of 22 and 50, who are navigating challenges such as: ~Career anxiety or burnout ~Life transitions (graduation, new job, relocation, identity shifts) ~Depression or low mood ~Anxiety and overthinking ~Mild to moderate ADHD ~Low self-esteem or self-criticism Many of my clients are high-functioning, thoughtful individuals who are used to “pushing through” on their own—but are now ready to try something different: receiving support, gaining insight, and building emotional tools that actually stick. If you're feeling stuck but ready to take that first step toward more clarity, confidence, and self-compassion, I’d be honored to support you. Let’s connect.
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), or Compassion Mind Training (CMF), is the concept of incorporating compassion training techniques into psychotherapy to induce kinder thinking habits. This type of therapy emphasizes the importance of compassion and self-compassion in interactions with the world and the self.
CBT is helpful in reducing anxiety and depression. Helps people learn to relax their bodies and minds. Helps people recognize negative thought patterns. Helps people learn to challenge unhelpful thoughts and develop more helpful thoughts. Helps people face fears instead of avoiding them. Helps people learn better ways to cope with psychological issues
Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is a type of psychotherapy that helps people accept their feelings and commit to actions that enrich their lives. ACT helps people develop psychological flexibility to implement healthy actions and thoughts. I will help you identify what's out of your control and help reframe thoughts to focus on your values and adjust your behaviors to live in accordance to your values.

My time with Heather has been amazing. I came to her lost, frustrated and feeling wildly unsupported. Throughout our time together, Heather has facilitated so much personal growth & understanding, and with her know I am wholly supported. We laugh, cry and learn together, and our sessions bring brightness into my life. I am so glad she is a part in my healing journey.
