I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #92771) and registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino. I received my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University. I received my Master of Art in Infant and Early Childhood Development with an Emphasis of Mental Health and Disorders. I completed the Napa Infant-Parent-Mental Health Fellowship Program through UC Davis Extension in 2017-2018 cohort.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and complete a clinical assessment to gather information, identify current/historical symptoms and behaviors that you would like to explore and address. This will help us create a tailored treatment plan of individualized goals that you would like to meet throughout treatment.

I believe one of my greatest strengths is supporting client's in feeling comfortable and safe throughout treatment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT interventions and techniques to support clients in making connections about how beliefs/emotions impacts behaviors that result in negative consequences. I support clients in making healthy connections about their negative thought patterns and support them in challenging negative thought processes. I will utilized CBT interventions, such as relaxation and stress reduction techniques, tacking, creating schedules, journaling, deep breathing, and additional mindfulness activities.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I obtained a second Master's Degree in Infant and Early Childhood Development with an Emphasis of Mental Health and Disorders. I also completed the 2017-2018 Napa Infant-Parent-Mental Health Fellowship Program. I believe in strengthening the family unit to support in creating secure attachment and strong bonds between the parent-child relationship. Supporting parents and children in reading each other cues, learning how to co-regulate, and support in developmentally appropriate interventions are a few of the interventions that can be used to support strengthen the family unit.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I utilized EFT techniques to explore attachment styles to support the creation of a secure, vibrant connection with the self and others. With the support of EFT techniques, clients will gain clarity of their own identify and transform the negative processing and interaction patterns that create distress.

Grief Therapy

I have utilized various modalities that include CBT interventions, Narrative interventions, and Mindfulness base interventions to support clients in processing the loss of loved one and going through the grief process.

Trauma Informed Care

I utilized Trauma-informed care to support the client who has experienced various types trauma in their life , such as abuse in childhood, domestic violence, survivors of sexual assault, or other types of trauma within childhood or adulthood. I support client's in the healing process by creating safety, trust, being transparent, supporting client's in connecting to support systems, empowering clients, and being responsive to where my clients are throughout treatment.
