Hi! I am Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I have been in the field since 2016. I have a passion for helping people release stress and trauma being stored in the body. I enjoy working with couples and individuals from a trauma and dissociation-informed lens. I integrate evidence-based practices, including somatic work, EMDR, and Ego State Therapy. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I also have experience integrating faith in sessions for those who are interested.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will get to know each other to see if we will be a good fit. I will ask you questions related to your past and present that will help us have a better understanding of how we will move forward together. I will also leave space for you to ask me any questions about the therapy process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I work from a strengths-based and collaborative approach, looking to help encourage each person's uniqueness in life. I listen carefully to your inner wisdom, as I believe that each individual is the expert on their world. I have completed several trainings related to body based approaches to trauma healing. I am always reading, consulting, and learning about the best evidence based practices related to somatic work.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I was trained in EMDR in 2019 and have been integrating it into my practice ever since. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is helpful for processing past traumatic memories and current negative beliefs related to these experiences.

Polyvagal Therapy

I integrate Polyvagal Therapy in my practice to help you better understand the autonomic nervous system, how its there for survival, and regulate it when it is safe to do so.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I have been trained in IFS, Ego State Therapy, and Structural Dissociation. I use it to help you gain awareness around the different parts of self, increase compassion for these parts, and increase internal communication and collaboration with these parts.
