Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I’ve worked in hospice, school settings, and private practice over the past several years. I help individuals who are feeling anxious, stuck, or overwhelmed reconnect with themselves and build confidence from the inside out. Clients appreciate my grounded yet flexible approach—I guide each session while creating space for them to lead, which helps them feel truly seen and supported.
Welcome! I’m Carly, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who believes therapy should feel like a real, non-judgmental conversation . I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, and life transitions where I take a down-to-earth, collaborative approach. My style is warm, honest, and practical—my goal is for you to feel supported, understood, and actually helped. I want our work to feel like a space where you can breathe, grow, and feel more like yourself again.
I have been working in the area of behavioral health since 1990, have various degrees from educational institutions, worked several internships for required training, helped move clients from a Developmental Center into homes to live and be a part of the community, have a love of working with older adults, and feel I am a compassionate, kind, person who is client centered and wants to help others to become empowered, if wanted. I have been a social worker for several entities and before that I was a Licensed Psychiatric Technician working on a crisis unit for Sonoma county.
In life, we all go through moments when we need support, clarity, and a safe place to explore what’s getting in the way. My goal is to offer a flexible, creative, and non-judgmental space where you can heal and understand yourself more deeply. I work with older teens, young adults, and individuals navigating big transitions—identity exploration, relationships, school, work, and the pressure of stepping into adulthood. I also support LGBTQIA2S+ clients and provide gender-affirming letters.
My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Seeking Safety, and the Gottman Method for couples. I value meeting you where you are and using creativity, mindfulness, and curiosity to support your growth.

I'm a licensed MFT #81396. My ultimate goal in my therapy work is to help my clients believe in themselves as much as I believe in them. I work with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and countless life issues.
While I am deeply humanistic, I also frequently employ elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge clients' negative self-talk, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help them navigate big feelings. My work is informed by Object Relations theory, in which the therapist provides the client with empathy and attunement. Additionally, I am trained in EMDR, which is an invaluable tool for clients struggling with trauma.
You may be coming to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or worn down by patterns that keep repeating in your life or relationships—or by a situation that has disrupted your sense of stability. You might be navigating a loss, a major transition, or ongoing pressure that has left you depleted. Your body and emotions may be holding more than words alone can explain. I offer a relational, trauma-informed space where we can slow down together and create more choice in otherwise habitual patterns of responding. Over time, many people feel more at ease in their bodies, clearer about their needs, and more confident in how they relate to others and themselves.

Greetings! I have relished working in this field for over 30 years and my practice has only gotten better over time--as I grow. Starting off my career in the field of Addiction Medicine assisting with patients embracing their own recovery over time. Through that lens my areas of expertise expanded: finding many people had other addictive/compulsive behaviors, mental health issues, childhood trauma, (including the impact of racism, sexism and homophobia). My patients have found psychoeducation incredibly useful.
There is no question in my mind regarding the power of therapy can be an extraordinary avenue for healing, self-identity development and living more intentionally versus living by default. Together we will carve out the style that works for you. Many of the people I work with work a recovery program in AA (Alcholics Anonymous/NA etc.), ACA (Adult Children of Alcoholics/Dysfunctional Families)--which has accelerated their healing and assisted immeasurably in our work together.
Spirituality can be a wellspring of hope and vitality in our work together. Learning to treat oneself with gentleness, humor love and respect is the practice I hope to instill within my people over time. I learned for myself when starting my journey that all I needed to be was honest, openminded and willing (HOW) and it's working!

Born and raised in Los Angeles, my family's roots in a third-world country have instilled in me a profound appreciation for cultural diversity. I earned my undergraduate degree in Social Work with a minor in Gerontology from Mount St. Mary's University in 2009. I then pursued my Master's in Social Work at California State University, Dominguez Hills, graduating in 2011. Additionally, I hold a Mental Health Certificate.

I help analytical high-achieving adults who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety and depression untangle their inner world and reconnect with their deeper self-using insight-driven therapy, dream exploration, and a creative lens that helps them uncover what's been buried beneath the surface.
Do you often say, "I'm successful on the outside but exhausted and anxious inside," "overthinking everything, but still feeling stuck," or being in a "constant sense of restlessness or dissatisfaction," or being a person who "struggles to access or name emotions clearly." I help clients have greater awareness and emotional clarity and begin to feel grounded, self-trusting and more internally connected. I hope to reduce anxiety and depression symptoms through deeper insight and ability to recognize and break unconscious patterns. I help clients discover meaning through creative exploration, and dream work. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring a blend of professional expertise, lived experience, and deep compassion to every therapeutic relationship. My journey began long before I entered the mental health field—shaped by my years as a military veteran, where resilience, service, and human connection became the foundation of my work. My role is to offer a therapeutic space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to move at a pace that honors their unique history and needs. I use trauma-informed, evidence-based practices rooted in acceptance, mindfulness, and emotional regulation to help clients build stability and reconnect with their strengths.
At the heart of my work is a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves a life worth living. I am passionate about helping people rediscover that possibility—whether through rebuilding coping skills, strengthening relationships, exploring values, or learning how to hold their pain without letting it define them. My approach is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and centered on the person as a whole, not just their diagnosis or past experiences.
If you’re seeking a therapist who will meet you with authenticity, patience, and unwavering support, I’m here to walk alongside you as you create a life that feels meaningful, grounded, and truly your own.
Feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed by life changes? I help adults—especially women navigating motherhood, grief, career transitions, and relationship challenges—find emotional balance, reduce anxiety, and cope with life’s difficulties.
