New to Grow
I’m Alejandra Uribe, a bilingual and bicultural Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience providing integrative psychotherapy to help clients build insight, overcome challenges, and thrive in their emotional, mental, and relational lives. As a therapist working with women and their children I understand the unique experiences and challenges impacting women today. My work focuses on women’s issues such as motherhood and parenting, perinatal and postpartum concerns, mood disorders, and general well‑being. I bring not only professional expertise but also personal perspective, empathy, and a deep appreciation for the complexities of womanhood.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our initial session includes a brief assessment so I can get to know your needs and presenting challenges. It’s also an opportunity for us to start building trust and setting the stage for a supportive, collaborative partnership.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I recognize that every person is unique, as are their life experiences. I work collaboratively with my clients to explore the roots and meaning of their behaviors, allowing us to identify the approaches that best fit their individual needs. My goal is to equip each client with practical skills that strengthen their mental health and support their overall well‑being.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My experience is well suited for women and children who have experienced trauma, attachment disruptions, or loss and who are ready to deepen their understanding of their inner world—how they think, feel, and make sense of their experiences. I support clients in exploring these patterns and working collaboratively to develop solutions and coping strategies for the challenges they face.
Integrative
I have extensive experience delivering integrative therapy to both children and adults, adapting my methods to meet each client’s specific goals and support their mental health. Through a collaborative process, I use a variety of evidence‑based techniques drawn from different therapeutic models to foster meaningful growth and well‑being.
Trauma-Focused CBT
My work includes using Trauma‑Focused CBT with clients of all ages to support them in reshaping unhelpful thoughts and building the confidence to guide their own emotional and mental health.
Child Parent Psychotherapy
My work involves supporting children and their parents through Child‑Parent Psychotherapy, helping them heal from trauma by nurturing their relationship, improving coregulation, and fostering secure attachment.
Psychoanalytic
My background in working with children who have experienced trauma informs my use of a psychoanalytic approach, helping clients make sense of the deeper issues shaping their current struggles. This approach encourages increased self‑insight and understanding, empowering clients to take ownership of their emotional and mental health.
