About me

Greg Piken is a hopeful, compassionate, and creative therapist (LMFT, CSAT, CMAT) experienced in treating addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and ADHD. His training and work as a therapist has largely centered around multiple types of addiction in both private practice and clinical settings. He loves to help people see the best in themselves, and discover a life that’s worth living. As a CSAT and CMAT, he pays special attention to intimacy disorders, seeing that the best solution to addiction, depression, crisis, or sin is not about sobriety or stopping bad behaviors, but about true connection. When we have hope that a life full of love, joy, and hope is possible, we are a lot more willing to make the necessary changes to pursue it.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I provide a judgment-free zone where we can talk openly about absolutely anything without the fear of condemnation. We will start by hitting the “pause button” on shame and fear so we can get to know each other and identify your challenges and goals - where you want your life to be a month, six months, a year from now. Then, we'll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. You'll leave the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with an "actions I can take right now" approach.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

We're not just here to stop "bad" behaviors; we will look at the hunger beneath them and even find out how to meet those desires in healthier ways. My goal is to help you integrate every part of who you are so you can live with integrity—fully known and fully loved. I believe we find our greatest purpose in the center of our pain, and I will probably get super excited when you do too.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Do you desire to be loved and accepted for who you are? Are you searching for hope, faith, or a more fulfilling life? Are you longing to make peace with your past and move forward? You’d be amazed how many people (like you and me) have bravely faced their biggest questions in therapy and found meaningful answers. Let’s see if that can be your story too! I work with individuals and groups hoping to find direction for their mental health, relationships, career goals, and life transitions. I have experience helping people cope and recover from conditions like depression, anxiety, compulsive sexual behaviors, porn addiction, substance abuse, grief, trauma, and ADHD.

HOPE: I've been called "aggressively hopeful," because I know that the therapy journey has helped me and so many others discover how to believe that we can be loved and have purpose in our life!
