I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Masters from University of Southern California (USC) and have been practicing for 14 years. My primary work has been with children, adolescents, young adults. The presenting issues I've worked on with Clients vary greatly but I have the most experience with mood disorders, life transitions, trauma, ADHD.
The first session will be an assessment session focused on gathering information about the problem and formulating a diagnosis and treatment objectives.
I strive to offer empathic services that are focused on resolving identified symptoms and problems. I have extensive experience using telehealth to guide treatment.
I work with Clients of all age, race, ethnicity. I primarily serve young adults, adolescents and children. Much of my experience has been with marginalized Clients of diverse backgrounds.
I am trained in TF-CBT and have been using it with Clients in practice to help resolve symptoms of past traumas.
Successful treatment often involved inclusion of the family unit. Periodic family sessions in individual treatment can be effective in reaching treatment goals. I've practiced family therapy continuously since starting in the field.
While I would consider my theoretical perspective to be eclectic, I utilize CBT most commonly as it easy to understand and for Clients to begin implementing immediately. However, psychodynamic, attachment based and narrative therapy also provide a framework for my theoretical base.
