I believe healing can be found in a variety of ways that are unique to each of us. Our identities, experiences, and stories shape who we are. I believe it is monumental to learn how all of our pieces intersect to create our authentic self. By understanding these, healing can be transformative.
I believe social justice work is a requirement for therapists. I believe you have a right to know about who you work with morally, ethically, and politically. I am progressive leaning and do what I can to support human rights and the social justice movements. As a white therapist, I believe it is a requirement for me to be engaged in social justice work along with consistent learning experiences.
By providing guidance, support, safety, and empowerment my main goals are to enhance the healing process and promote thriving. I want to create the safest space I can to support connection with your whole, authentic self.
In my sessions, I promote self-discovery, transformation, and self-compassion. I use techniques such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and IFS (Internal Family Systems). I believe using trauma centered, intersectional feminist, social justice, CRT, and Queer Theory perspectives are fundamental in therapy.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with an integrative approach to my work. My specialties include Cognitive Behavioral therapy, anxiety, grief, art therapy, stress management, mindfulness and guided imagery. I have a collaborative client-centered approach, which is warm, safe, empathetic and non-judgmental. I help you discover your own insight, cultivate strengths and find meaning and purpose for a more balanced life.
Hello there, I'm Alma.
I'm bilingual in English and Spanish. I have experience working with elementary-age children and young adults.
I can help you manage anxiety to avoid burnout, and in children to avoid losing control of their emotions. We'll use a whole self approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I integrate mindfulness to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself.
Whether you're dealing with being overwhelmed, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety, I'm here to help. You deserve a safe space to be heard, heal and grow.
At my core, I am a therapist who believes in the transformative power of depth, empathy, humor, and the arts. I’ve spent my career helping people understand themselves more fully — not only by reducing symptoms, but by uncovering the narratives, emotions, and self-limiting beliefs that have kept them small or stuck. I work from a humanistic and psychoanalytic foundation, integrating mindfulness, ACT, and solution-focused strategies to help clients access resilience, self-compassion, and real change.
I bring a warm, grounded, and creative presence into the room. My background as an artist and writer shapes my work: I’m attentive to symbolism, story, imagination, and the deeper layers of a person’s emotional life. Humor is also one of my most natural tools, not to avoid pain, but to help clients feel safe, open, and connected as they explore difficult experiences.
Across corporate mental health, trauma work, refugee support, and private practice, I’ve seen how people flourish when they’re permitted to be fully themselves. I help clients build self-esteem through honesty, curiosity, and acceptance; loosen rigid patterns; and move beyond the internalized messages or roles that no longer serve them.

Everyone deserves to have someone they can fully be themselves with and feel comfortable speaking with, let me be that person for you. I look forward to working with you!
PLEASE NOTE: I am a Gerontological Counselor.
I believe in empowering older adults by fostering independence, resilience and sense of identity. Aging is a journey that should be met with dignity, respect, and opportunities for growth. By actively listening, providing tailored support, and encouraging self-determination, I can help older adults maintain their autonomy and confidence. Resilience is nurtured through meaningful connections, purposeful activities, and a focus on strengths rather than limitations. I am committed to honoring an individual's experiences, celebrating their uniqueness, and creating environments where people feel valued and capable. I challenge stereotypes about aging and promote a vision of later life filled with possibility and fulfillment.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with more than 20 years of experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, anger issues, and self-harm behaviors. I want to get to know you and what might be happening with you that you are seeking counseling for. Most people come to therapy when they are in some type of distress. Sometimes this is conscious and sometimes not. If you are feeling powerless or distressed for some reason or grieving a loss in life, I would like to see how we can work in therapy.
The way we work will depend on the issues you bring to therapy. I have experience with different approaches to therapy including but not limited to HUMANISTIC THERAPY (includes the importance of personal responsibility, and a positive, non-judgmental approach), STRUCTURAL FAMILY SYSTEMS (includes the importance of family structure and healthy boundaries), GOTTMAN (includes helping couples communicate better, resolve conflicts constructively, and create a shared sense of meaning), CBT (generally includes a short-term approach that helps you identify and change negative or unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior to improve your mood and overall well-being).
All the above types of counseling styles point towards change or growth. Many times, there is a creative element to counseling and many times the counseling can give you more of a sense of purpose for yourself in life. Please see my calendar with Grow to sign up for an appointment today.

As a LCSW with experience in trauma, addiction, adolescents, and adults, co-occurring disorders, chronic mental illness, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges. I am originally from Louisiana and moved to California and enjoy the outdoors and adventure. I'd love to hear and help heal your story.
I practice as a dual licensed therapist (MFT & LPCC) in Fresno, California and offer online service via Grow. Call me for consult at (559) 242-6670 or inquire at: Justin@Stargaardtherapy.com. I have more availability than posted. I contract on site service in Fresno area including group therapy and consulting.
Before joining Grow, I served my local community in Fresno for six years with a local office and also provided on site therapy with sex offenders via containment model. I've worked with survivors of various traumas & family dysfunctions, depression, sexual abuse survivors, anxiety, life stressors, ADHD, co-parenting dynamics, anger issues, and a whole host of other stuff that brings one to seek therapy.
As far as specialty, I am certified as an independent provider with California's sex offender management board and trained in areas surrounding sexual abuse, offending, and how therapy is rendered based on reducing risk. At present, I offer my expertise in this area primarily to parents who want to protect their kids, survivors who want to assert against future grooming/victimization, and to adults desiring to build safe and healthy sexual expression.
Theoretical models I apply, include a cognitive behavioral model emphasizing using behavior to get the changes you want. In practice, I've found this model to be accessible for first time clients, offer a practical conceptualization of therapy work, and all while offering an ease of going "deeper" as work may incorporate childhood experiences, attachment, relational dynamics, and in room transference.
When I work with couples and families I utilize a structural model which emphasizes getting parents on the same team and building a functional hierarchy for the family unit. I've seen first hand how smooth a family can run when mom and dad work together and own their home.
Consults welcome 24/7.
Do you want a better day tomorrow than you had yesterday? Do you worry about things you have no control over? Do you ask, “Is this all there is to my life?” What happened to your dreams, your goals, your “someday I’ll be…I’ll do…, I’ll have…”?

I completed internships at a domestic abuse shelter, a short-term residential crisis center, a community behavioral health services facility, and took specialized trauma-informed care courses, as well as other research areas in the field.

Hi, I am a licensed clinical psychologist and my license is based in California. I attended the California School of Professional Psychology where I received my Psy.D. I have been practicing for 20 years and even when not engaged with direct therapy, I have worked with helping families interface with other systems that help children and adolescents.
The other area that I enjoy working in is with women who find themselves at a crossroads due to changes in work or family. Life is always changing and sometimes we need assistance in moving on to that next phase.
I provide evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and difficulties associated with life transitions. Clients can expect a structured, goal-oriented approach beginning with a comprehensive initial assessment. From there, we will collaboratively identify treatment goals and develop a plan that supports meaningful and sustainable progress.
My clinical background includes extensive work with children, adolescents, and families presenting with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood dysregulation. I began providing therapeutic services in 2009 within a school-based setting, delivering mental health interventions as part of students' IEP services. Since 2018, I have worked in private practice treating adults and adolescents using Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) interventions.
At present, my telehealth practice is limited to clients age 16 and older, as younger children benefit most from in-person treatment modalities.
I hold a Master’s Degree from California State University, Long Beach, and completed my supervised clinical training through the Los Angeles Unified School District. My work emphasizes skill development, insight, and the application of evidence-based strategies to support improved functioning and overall well-being.
Please Note: I do not provide psychological assessments, disability evaluations, or documentation for emotional support animals. I also do not participate in court-related cases, custody matters, or court related matters.

Hi, I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California for 20 years and I hold a doctorate degree in the Philosophy of Counseling. I am in my second marriage for 29 years now, after my 24-year first marriage failed. We have seven children between the two of us, 31 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. I have had good success counseling couples who have given up on their relationship, especially those who have experienced infedelity. I don't counsel children until they are 18. I enjoy helping people understand how they became the way they are and therfore find ways to leave dysfunction behind.
My Approach is non judge mental and client centered. I am passionate about helping others grow through mental health and realize that life can be challenging and creating change can be difficult. I have been providing individuals with mental health treatment for 10 years and find my clinical strength is with individuals who struggle with thinking patterns, anxiety, depression, anger, parenting, and marriage discourse. I focus a lot on thinking patterns, emotions, behaviors and their connections as well as building insight and awareness into thoughts and behaviors that create barriers in life or sustain challenges. I utilize CBT, DBT, EFT, SF, and Narrative therapy for the most part and also focus on the nervous system/polyvagal to assist with calming the body and rewiring what it has learned through distress. My objective is to create an atmosphere of acceptance, understanding, and to allow clients to feel safe while processing their thoughts and feelings while gently providing psycho education and techniques to assist.
Hello and welcome to my page! While I'd like to say that I'm here to solve all of your problems, I am not. My role as a therapist is to provide a safe space for you to express your thoughts/feelings, gain insight and bravery so you can create the life you deserve by mitigating the intrusive thoughts and feeling of overwhelmness.
Chronic pain can feel like an unending alarm that you can’t turn off - something that demands your attention no matter how hard you try to ignore it. I understand that struggle deeply, because I experienced it myself. After years of searching for relief, Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) helped me overcome chronic pain and reclaim my life. Now, I’m passionate about helping others do the same.
PRT helps the brain unlearn pain responses by addressing the neural pathways that keep pain signals active, even after the body has healed. Together, we’ll work to retrain your brain’s response to pain, reduce fear, and restore your confidence in your body. In 15 sessions or less, clients often begin to experience meaningful relief and renewed hope.
Whether your pain is linked to a medical diagnosis or seems unexplainable, there is a path forward. You’ve tried so many things already and it’s time for something that truly focuses on the mind-body connection and lasting change.
In 15 sessions or less, let me offer hope, and a way out. You have been ignored, gaslighted, and drained of your cash over many years of unsuccessful remedies for your pain. Pain Reprocessing Therapy targets learned neural pathways in the brain, and reverses them. If you have a diagnosed or suspected mental health condition, PRT is still effective.

I am a California based Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I became a mental health provider because I believe everyone deserves to have adequate access and have the support to be in good mental health. I love the social work profession and that I can make a real difference in people's lives. I have clinical experience working with diverse populations of youth and adults in multiple behavioral health settings. I am here to support you with the process of getting your life back on track. I truly believe that to experience the best life you can, you must care for all aspects of your health and wellness, which of course includes mental and emotional health. I enjoy using humor when it is appropriate & invite my clients to laugh and share as much as they need to.
I offer telehealth therapy sessions. Telehealth really helps to reduce anxiety and help you get back on track with your life, conveniently from the comfort of your own space. Together, we will work to find ways to get you back on track towards a fulfilled life. You deserve a space to safely and comfortably open, heal, learn, and grow during therapy.
