Licensed to practice in California and accepts 47 insurances. Specializes in Anxiety, Coping Skills, Couples Counseling
I’m really glad you’re here. I’m Shannon, a licensed psychotherapist and certified yoga therapist. I work with individuals and couples who feel overwhelmed, stuck in their relationships, or disconnected from themselves. If you tend to overthink, feel anxious in connection, or shut down when things get hard—you’re not alone. Together, we slow things down so you can understand what’s actually happening inside you, and learn how to feel more like yourself again. My work blends talk therapy with body awareness, because real change doesn’t just happen in your head—it happens when you can feel it.
In our first session, I’ll ask you a simple question: What are your best hopes from us talking? From there, we’ll start to get clear on what’s not working and what you want instead. You don’t need to have it all figured out—I’ll help guide the conversation so we can begin making sense of what’s happening and what would feel better.
At the core of my work is helping you feel seen, understood, and not alone in what you’re going through. I pay close attention to both what you’re saying and what’s happening underneath it—your emotions, your patterns, and how your body responds in real time. This helps us get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck, not just manage the surface. I bring a calm, grounded presence into the room, so even the hard things can be explored safely. From there, real change becomes possible.
I work best with high-functioning adults and couples who look like they have it together on the outside—but inside feel anxious, disconnected, or stuck in their relationships. You might find yourself overthinking conversations, worrying about where you stand with someone, or pulling back when things feel too intense. Maybe you want closeness, but something in you gets activated and it’s hard to stay open. You’re not looking for surface-level advice—you want to understand what’s actually happening inside you and learn how to respond differently in real time. My clients are often ready to take responsibility for their patterns and are open to slowing things down, getting honest, and trying something different. They want to feel more secure, more connected, and more like themselves in their relationships. If you’re motivated for real change and willing to look inward, this work can be deeply impactful.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Our work is centered around meaningful conversations that help you get clear on what you want and how to move toward it. I use Solution-Focused Therapy to keep us moving forward—focusing on what’s working, what matters most to you, and the changes you want to see in your life. At the same time, I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you understand your emotional patterns, especially in relationships. When we feel disconnected, our nervous system reacts—we might get anxious, shut down, or pull away. Together, we slow that down so you can understand what’s really happening underneath and learn how to respond in a way that builds connection instead of distance. I also bring in body awareness and gentle, somatic practices when helpful, so you’re not just talking about change—you’re actually feeling it as it happens. This work is practical, present-focused, and rooted in helping you feel more like yourself—both within and in your relationships. Solution-Focused Therapy doesn’t keep you stuck in the past. Rather, it’s future-focused, goal-guided, and constructs solutions to life’s pressing problems. Our work together will help you understand what matters most to you and your hopes for the future. SFT is a science-backed therapy method that naturally motivates and empowers us to achieve and sustain desired changes so we can live a life of purpose.

Shannon is a great therapist, very warm and authentic and she seems to really listen and care. She's always trying to help us guide the conversation in a productive way and take the baby steps towards reconnecting and improving our relationship one session at a time.

Couples therapy is stressful and can be hard to feel heard but Shannon was able to bring us both back to core issues, identify some potential childhood triggers and focus on goals and our relationship. Great first session and looking forward to more.
