Solution oriented

I’m glad you’re here. Balancing work, relationships, and personal expectations—especially during life transitions—can be stressful and emotionally draining. I have 22 years of experience in the public mental health system and I have worked with adults and professionals who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and major changes, and who are looking for practical support and lasting relief. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and goal-oriented. I use CBT and solution-focused therapy to help you understand unhelpful patterns, build on your strengths, and create meaningful change. I also incorporate mindfulness along with health and life coaching tools to support emotional balance, resilience, and follow-through in daily life.

Alongside therapy, I bring strong knowledge of community resources and support services, helping clients navigate systems, access care, and feel less alone in the process.

Therapy doesn’t require having everything figured out. If you’re seeking a thoughtful, strengths-based approach that focuses on both insight and action, I’d be honored to support you.

First session

In our first session, I‘ll focus on getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about the challenges you’re facing, your goals, and what you’d like to be different in your life right now. We will explore and discover your strengths and resiliencies, and how it relates to your background, work and life stressors, and what has or hasn’t been helpful for you in the past. You may feel fear about being vulnerable with someone new. Be assured, this session is collaborative and low-pressure—there’s no expectation to share more than you’re comfortable with. We’ll begin identifying strengths, coping tools, and next steps, and you’ll leave with a clearer sense of direction and what our work together can look like. You can expect subsequent session to include any pressing issues that have come up since the last session, any wins or sucessess you have had and any challenges you have experienced.

Strengths

What sets my work apart is my ability to thoughtfully blend therapy and coaching. In addition to addressing emotional challenges like anxiety, stress, and depression, I help clients turn insight into action with practical strategies that support real-life change at work and at home. I also have extensive experience working with diverse populations and approach each client with cultural humility and respect for their lived experience. Alongside therapy, I bring strong knowledge of community resources and support services, helping clients navigate systems, access care, and feel less alone in the process. My goal is to offer support that is not only meaningful and affirming, but also practical, empowering, and tailored to your unique needs.

Ideal clients

I have extensive experience addressing symptoms of depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem issues, increasing coping skills, and processing grief. I have worked with professionals, care-givers, and individuals in the midst of a career transition. I also have a certification in health and life coaching and can provide guidance and support through the process of changing habits. I work best with clients who need guidance, support, have the capacity for self-reflection and are ready to make changes in their life.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with clients from diverse backgrounds, helping individuals and families build on their strengths to navigate life’s challenges. I focus on practical, culturally responsive strategies that support coping, emotional regulation, and positive behavior change. By collaborating with clients and connecting them to community resources, I empower them to overcome barriers, grow resilience, and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Interpersonal

I have used Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) to support individuals involved in the criminal justice system, many of whom have significant trauma histories. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and focused on helping clients understand how their experiences and relationships impact their emotional well-being. Through IPT, I assist clients in navigating role transitions, rebuilding healthy communication patterns, and strengthening supportive connections—especially during reentry and other periods of change. This practical, here-and-now framework allows clients to develop effective interpersonal skills while fostering safety, resilience, and emotional stability.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients from diverse backgrounds cultivate awareness, reduce stress, and respond to life’s challenges with greater calm and clarity. I guide clients in using mindfulness practices to enhance emotional regulation, strengthen resilience, and build on their personal strengths for meaningful, lasting change.
