Whether it be anxiety/depression, unprocessed trauma, medical issues/illness, divorce, or chemical dependency just to name a few. Allow me to help you address the emotional challenges that may be causing you a variety of symptoms -- frustration, sadness, decreased motivation or anger -- as this is often how the issues we are struggling with surface in our lives. Helping you discover and understand the root cause of your issues is the goal to help you live a more empowered and fulfilling life. I've worked in various clinical settings from psychiatric hospitals, to county jail. My approach is truly collaborative, I utilize CBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, etc. Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a Registered Nurse for over 15yrs. I understand the interplay between our mental and physical health, and how one effects the other. Let’s work together to address the challenges in your life. Finding a therapist that fits your needs is essential, if I am not the therapist for you, I'll help you find one who is.

I believe in genuine, authentic interaction with my clients using humor and warmth. I believe using an informed approach with proven interventions are the 'keys to the kingdom' and allow the client to 'unlock' their own way forward. I believe each client has an inner wisdom that - once discovered - will lead them onto their own path, towards their most genuine, core sense of self, and healing. It is important to be able to identify and describe your goals, and remove whatever is blocking you from reaching them. My concentration was neural-plasticity (the way the brain is trained and untrained), I have extensive experience in addiction medicine (this includes disordered eating as well as other addictions), and multi-cultural experience as well as LGBTQ. I am a curious, authentic, and a very human therapist. I love working with people who want to do the work. I am here to provide a safe space that will foster vulnerability and growth. Therapy is so hard sometimes. I am here to make that pill a little easier to swallow. We fall into times where we feel stuck, don't have sufficient self-love, or just have ran out of hope. I am here to support you in getting unstuck, changing your perspective, increasing your self-love, and remind you that there is hope. Just because we don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, it doesn't mean it's not there. In the nature of being authentic: If you're looking for a "cookie-cutter therapist", I am not the one. If you are looking for heavy homework/worksheets, I am not the one. I am very human. At times, I cuss. Because, at times, life just fucking sucks. I am very open to feedback: I have the mental health portion of my job down, but you are the expert in you.

Hi there, I’m Manny. Are you currently searching for a sense of meaning and purpose in your life? Do you find yourself in an existential/spiritual emergency? Are you exploring your personal identity, expression, or sexuality? I help people of all ages increase self-awareness and decrease symptomology by bringing unconscious material into conscious awareness. Trauma combined with an emotional core (experiences of intense fear/guilt/shame) commonly splinters parts of our personality and represses such into the shadow/unconscious realms of our psyche. In response, many of us have adapted and survived by putting on masks in hopes of fitting in and being accepted by the people around us. Mental health concerns eventually arise because deep in our mind/body/soul we yearn for authenticity/individuation. Clients may also experience suicide ideation and/or self-harm because there are parts of themselves that no longer serve them. Together we can explore which aspects of ourselves to let go, in order to make space for something new to enter. I am a Doctoral Candidate from Pacifica Graduate Institute, my studies focused on Depth Psychology with a specialization in Integrative Therapy and Healing Practices. As a Holistic practitioner, I believe that each individual already possesses what is needed for their healing and it is my duty, as a guiding witness, to help the client navigate, process, and integrate such.

Hi, I'm Dr. Alysha! Are you ready to Empower your Mental Health? By creating a safe place for processing and expression, I support persons on their unique healing journey to strengthen authenticity and resiliency. My overall approach uses psychodynamic talk therapy, offering space to those wanting to explore new perspectives, reframes, and change. When we internalize or suppress our emotions and experiences of adversity, we may be faced with lasting emotional trauma that impacts our entire well-being. However there is power in validation and relatability and that is why I utilize a client-centered, strengths-based method, with consideration for relational, intersectional, and social justice contexts. I don’t consider myself an advice giver, but instead, I will collaborate with you to recognize your choices and help you make the best one for yourself. My objective is for you to feel empowered by reducing emotional burdens, developing coping strategies, identifying resources, and enhancing your strengths. You will be treated with respectful, objective, non-biased assistance. I believe that with the right amount of support, guidance, and compassion, our capabilities are endless. **Please note Couples Therapy is Cash Only at $200 per session. When I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, my two answers were Neurosurgeon and a Therapist. I never had the aptitude or drive to become a surgeon, and I know why I wanted to be a therapist. Trauma is part of my lived history. I had a therapist when I was a child, and the only thing I could remember was feeling safe. She was older; I loved going to my sessions. Her office was the safest place for me at this time in my life. Here is where I learned to be resilient. Later after I left that therapist, I found ways to survive in my life. One of the resources I had was my imagination. I loved Star Trek TNG; all the characters provided me with specific resources, and I would play out my life through the lens of Star Trek. Some of the best episodes for me as a young person were with my two favorite characters. Deana Troi and Lieutenant Data. It’s interesting to reflect on these characters. Data represent a protector, and Deana provides me with secure attachment. I’d pretend that I was rescued by Data, an orphaned child and parented by Deana Troi. As I grew older, this image helped me through an unhappy childhood until I could be old enough to start reparenting myself. Ultimately, my examples of secure attachment are why I became a therapist. These earlier influencers helped me look for adults who could provide me with this same example, and I found them somewhere people my age surviving just like I did. I imagined that I could help others move through their trauma, hurt, and pain. a queer, transgender, and nonbinary individual with a non-traditional spiritual practice and collaborative approach to my therapy, finding the right therapist is essential. Whether in rural situations or a big city—the therapy room is a space where a client doesn't have to explain or educate a therapist about sexuality, open relationships, polyamory, BDSM, body size, disability, chronic health issues, experiences of oppression, or racism. You are valid. I believe everyone is an expert in their own life, and I am not an expert in your life.

25 years as a clinical social worker has taught me that finding the right therapist is like trying on a pair of shoes. It has to be the right fit for you to start the journey of self-exploration. I believe in a strength based approach, where we not only explore the issues that brought you to therapy, but we explore how to expand the things that bring you joy and happiness. As Dr. Seuss once said, “life is a great balancing act” and he could not have been more right. My practice focuses on individual therapy for adolescents, and adults. My areas of expertise include depression, mood disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, Trauma, and transitional issues of work, relationships, etc. Client’s describe me as genuine and authentic, supportive, strength based, straight forward, and always keeping hope alive.

Hi there, I primarily work in substance use recovery (abstinence and harm reduction) and trauma recovery. I also have specialized training in treating anxiety, depression, and sleep issues/insomnia. My treatment orientation is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts, however the foundation of my early training was Psychodynamic. I have been trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, STAIR (Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation), and Seeking Safety for trauma treatment. When treating anxiety, I take a CBT, or exposure approach with skill-building. For depression I utilize CBT concepts, or behavioral activation with skill-building. For sleep issues, I work with the CBT for insomnia treatment model. These are just a few examples of treatment approaches I utilize. I am relational focused, which to me means finding a plan that works best for you, practicing cultural humility and not trying to fit a round peg in a square hole. I look forward to working with you.

I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for over 10 years. My Master’s in Social Work focused on Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality and how our different life experiences shape how we navigate our surroundings. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, some of my approaches to helping my clients identify their challenges and barriers to their identified problem starts with a person-centered and solution-focused approach to therapy. I recognize a client's right to self-determination, and I want to empower clients I work with to collaboratively come up with their own obtainable short-term and or long-term plans and goals for the present and the future lives they want to live. Let’s further explore together how to use better the tools you’ve been working with and perhaps add additional tools to the toolbox or not.

Please note- I schedule appointments only at the top of each hour. Your healing can start today! My name is Renee H. Tunkel. I go by Hannah. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California since 2011. I have extensive background in body, mind, spirit somatic and holistic therapies. For those inclined, I incorporate a few moments of mindfulness meditation at the start of each session, to bring a centered, grounded focus that allows you to connect more deeply to your Inner and/or Higher Self, as well as to gain access to the unconscious mind, where the root of the issue lies. Since 1997, I have been helping individuals heal from anxiety, chronic pain, childhood trauma, sleep disorders, and problems of early attachment problems (prenatal and birth trauma) through my business All Ways Well Within. I also have been helping couples improve communication, deepen intimacy, and experience more sexual fulfillment in relationships. You are not alone! We all have old beliefs, feelings, and self-defeating patterns that get in the way of expressing our best selves and living our greatest lives, but this can change if you commit to doing the work!

Samantha provides treatment for adults dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, issues with attachment, childhood trauma, and relational issues. Samantha Arreola is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in supporting clients through past trauma, specifically childhood trauma in order to foster healthier romantic, social, and familial relationships. I help people get unstuck from their negative thought patterns and behaviors, and work toward unapologetically loving themselves and their lives. A lot of my clients see me after being in an unhealthy romantic relationship that depleted them of their energy, made them question their reality and themselves, which led to confusion and self-doubt. Many of my clients also experienced not feeling loved, heard, or valued by their caregivers throughout childhood and adolescence. Both instances can have a significant impact on a person’s life, relationships, and self-esteem. Therapy can help you on your path to healing, self-discovery, and self-reflection. Trauma therapy such as brainspotting can help you heal from stored trauma in the brain. It can help you understand yourself better and bring light to subconscious forms of coping and dealing with issues in your life that might not be helpful.

Hi, I'm Kylie and I have been a therapist for 8 years, and am EMDR Certified. I support people who experience anxiety, symptoms from trauma, and LGBTQ+ issues. I have a two step approach. First I teach people how to regulate themselves in-the-moment. That way they can get back to emotional safety when things are not feeling right. Then I help people find ways to stop what is bothering them before it even starts. That can look like setting a routine that helps reduce anxiety, processing past trauma, surrounding yourself with people that make you feel great, or figuring out what gives your life meaning and helping you do that.

Over human history, people have mostly lived in close-knit communities. This has eroded with the advances in transportation and technology. Most people have lost much of the social support our forebearers enjoyed. Mental Health Professionals have taken on this role in their respective communities and are an excellent resource for you to realize your strengths and improve your well-being. When your car breaks down you take it to a mechanic. When your tooth hurts you see a dentist. When your mental health can use a “tune-up,” see a Mental Health Professional!
