Hi! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I received my masters in clinical mental health counseling from California State University, Fullerton( go Titans!). I have practiced therapy for the past 5 years. I am a proud queer and gender diverse therapist that has experience working with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and life transitions. I strive to provide LGBTQIA affirming care through all of my work.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be comprised of brief introductions, information gathering, exploring reasons for seeking care, and beginning to conceptualize therapy goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a queer, neurodiverse therapist -- I endeavor to create a space free of judgement and to foster a collaborative and warm working relationship where I lead with kindness and evidenced-based frameworks.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with individuals who are motivated to change and are looking to break free from the unhealthful thoughts and behaviors that arise from adverse familial, environmental, and unjust societal experiences.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

For most of my career, I have worked from a client-centered foundation where warmth, empathy, kindness, and a non-judgmental way of being underpin all of my work. I believe that my role as a therapist is to help clients access the inner strength and resources they possess to help themselves and empower them to create lasting change via a safe environment and relevant evidenced based techniques and practices in and out of the therapeutic space.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have training in various evidence based practices, but I primarily utilize a cognitive behavioral approach to better understand how a person's mental health struggles may stem from unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that develop over time due to biological, psychological, and/or environmental factors.
