I am a Doctor of Psychology and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 37 years of experience in the field. During that time, I worked on issues of domestic violence, community violence, and child abuse while on staff at several community, not-for-profit, and governmental agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area (CA). I have been in private practice for over 29 years.
In our first session, we'll begin with a brief introduction and then discuss the goals you may have to improve your mental health. This and your help will help me create the plan for our work together.
Having worked with clients from diverse backgrounds for years, I've developed the skills to help you (a) explore and identify the causes for your challenges and (b) develop an individualized plan that leads to measurable progress, the progress you seek.
Given my experience, I feel confident in providing assessment and psychotherapeutic services for victims of domestic violence, trauma, childhood abuse, members of minority or persecuted groups, and substance abuse disorders, or similar backgrounds.
My training includes a multi-theoretical approach that combines dynamic, attachment, and cognitive behavioral (CBT) interventions.
