I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology and am a licensed LMFT. I received my PhD in 1994 and have been practicing for about 30 years. I work with adult women and men, who are experiencing life transitions such as career issues and relationship problems. The goal of the therapy is to use self-awareness to bring about change, and more joy in life.

In our 1st session together I will gain a better understanding of your personal history, and what you are expecting from therapy. It will help me create a personalized plan tailored to your individual needs and goals.

I have worked for many years as a provider, and am experienced with a variety of patients. I feel I am empathetic, supportive, and will gentle push the patient to achieve their individualized goals.

My name is Joanne Freed. I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology and I am a licensed LMFT. I enjoy helping others find a better quality of life, and be able to make healthier choices for themselves. I am Psychdynamically- oriented( how one’s childhood affects present day relationships), as well as incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness, using guided imagery, relaxation techniques, meditation, and self-regulating approaches. I work with a variety of disorders including anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. I work with adult women and men, who are experiencing life transitions such as career issues and relationship problems. The goal is to use self-awareness to bring about change, balance, and more joy in life.
