Hi, I’m Holly Franke, PMHNP-BC based in Central Texas. I received my Master’s Degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center and have been practicing as a nurse practitioner for 4 years. I have helped children, adolescents and adults achieve symptom reduction and/or remission from mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, substance-related disorders, insomnia, and others. My goal is to work with patients to implement an evidence-based treatment plan that will allow them to live as their authentic self and improve overall quality of life.
In our initial evaluation, we will discuss your current symptoms and specific challenges/concerns that need to be addressed. We will dig further and explore family, medical, and psychiatric history, so I can understand the full picture of who you are and the way it affects how you experience life. Together, we will be able to create a tailored plan to address your current symptoms.
Having worked as a psychiatric nurse prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I have developed a solid bedside manner that includes truly hearing what each patient has to say. In doing so, I am able to help patients identify and achieve their goals by developing a truly personalized treatment plan. I am very skilled at medication management, taking into consideration each person's medical history, potential drug interactions, and side effects.
I love working with adults 18 and up who have been chronically struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, or anxiety. My goal is to provide renewed hope and offer evidence-based solutions that may include medication management, therapy, and/or lifestyle changes. I also have a passion for helping adults who have never seen a mental health professional before. It can be daunting, and I strive to provide the care and attention they need and deserve. I also focus heavily on educating new patients so they understand their condition and the options that are available.
Psychoeducation is used in conjunction with medication management to educate patients extensively regarding their diagnosis, prognosis and treatment options so they are well-informed.
Making positive changes can be very difficult whether you are struggling with a mood disorder, addiction or anxiety. My role is to help you find the motivation needed to make those changes and encourage you along the way.
