Welcome to M.A.D. Therapy, LLC! I am Misty Annette Diaz and we’re all M.A.D. here. You are no longer alone because I am here to join you. As a relationship therapist, LMFT, and MFT PhD (abd), helping relationships thrive is my ultimate goal. The most important relationship is with ourselves. We will re-evaluate boundaries and increase self-confidence and self-validation. We will develop strong coping skills and self-soothing techniques. I guide my clients out of survival mode into the present moment. I incorporate trauma informed yoga to reset the nervous system. I am EMDR trained. In-person & in-home case-by-case. Stay safe and talk soon. My experience varies from severe mood disorders to generalized anxiety. Niches with training: Suicidality and high-risk, LGBTQIA+, Military, Adoption.
In our first session, we will join together to discuss concerns and create goals for a preferred future. The following sessions will explore dynamics individually and systemically. As we stabilize day-to-day routines. Restructuring daily environments provides safety to explore the past traumas which continue to sabotage our present choices. Let the healing begin...
Having clinical experience in military settings i.e. war zones, in-patient/out-patient psych units, Texas state agencies, and private practice…I do not scare easily. I’ve been around. I can also sit with you in the dark. Namaste
I enjoy clients who are eager for change. My favorites are motivated to exit survival mode and enter into safety in the present moment. Let’s feel our feels. I am here to guide you. Change can only happen when we are sick of our own poor choices. The lowest we have been is equivalent to the height of our ascension ability. Let’s get weird and connect to our highest & best self with the support of our ancestors. I love to watch my clients fall in love with themselves. What’s the best that could happen? Namaste

I’ve seen Misty for a month and I already feel a meaningful shift taking place. One of the things I appreciate most about her approach is how grounded and empowering it is. She helps me bring my struggles into the room, sort through them, and figure out what’s truly mine to carry—and what I can give back to others. She doesn’t try to fix everything for me—she walks beside me while I learn how to do that for myself. It’s only been a short time, but I can already feel the difference.
