As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I bring a client-focused, compassionate approach to therapy. My role is to support individuals as they navigate personal and relational challenges, empowering them to become the best version of themselves. With years of experience in both private practice and larger healthcare settings, I specialize in working with clients facing a wide range of issues, from stress and anxiety to complex family dynamics. My practice is rooted in building a nonjudgmental, empathetic space where clients can feel comfortable sharing their stories. Whether it’s working through emotional difficulties, finding balance in relationships, or building strategies for long-term mental wellness, I offer a personalized, collaborative approach that emphasizes growth, resilience, and healing. My goal is for each client to leave our sessions with a deeper understanding of themselves and the tools needed to face life’s challenges head-on.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Your first session with me is an opportunity to set the stage for our work together. It’s natural to feel a little nervous or unsure about what to expect, but rest assured that the goal of this session is to get to know you better and understand what brings you to therapy. During our initial meeting, I’ll ask questions about your background, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve in therapy. This is your time to share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. While we’ll focus on gathering important information, I’ll also aim to understand your unique perspective and how your life experiences have shaped who you are. I encourage open dialogue and curiosity—if there’s something you’re unsure about or would like to explore further, this session is a great place to start. We’ll talk about your goals, and I’ll provide insight into how we can work toward them together. This might involve discussing specific therapeutic techniques or approaches that I think would best suit your needs. You’ll also have the chance to ask any questions you have about the process. Most importantly, I want to ensure that you feel comfortable and heard. By the end of this session, we should have a clear direction for how we’ll move forward in therapy, with the focus always on creating a plan that aligns with your values and goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where clients feel truly seen and understood. I prioritize empathy and nonjudgment, ensuring that no matter what you’re going through, you have a place where you can explore your thoughts and emotions openly. This warmth and understanding often help clients open up about difficult topics they may have been holding onto for a long time. Additionally, I’m skilled at adapting to the unique needs of each client. Whether we’re engaging in cognitive behavioral techniques, exploring past traumas, or discussing practical solutions to everyday stressors, I bring a flexible, person-centered approach that meets you where you are. My strength lies in combining evidence-based methods with an intuitive understanding of what will resonate best for each individual. Finally, I’m highly attuned to the balance between providing support and challenging my clients when needed. Growth often comes from stepping outside of comfort zones, and I’m dedicated to guiding clients through that process with care and encouragement.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

In my practice, I am best positioned to serve individuals who are ready for change and seeking meaningful, lasting solutions. I work well with youth and adults facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship concerns. Many of my clients are professionals balancing work, family, and personal expectations, often feeling stretched thin and unsure of how to manage it all. My experience also extends to individuals processing trauma, grief, and loss, where I provide a safe, nurturing space to unpack emotions and build a pathway toward healing. Parents and caregivers who are juggling their roles while trying to take care of their mental health will find my approach especially supportive, as I understand firsthand the pressures that come with these responsibilities. Additionally, I enjoy working with clients who are driven and motivated but may struggle with perfectionism, fear of failure, or imposter syndrome. Together, we explore ways to embrace imperfections, find balance, and redefine what success looks like—focusing on fulfillment rather than unattainable standards.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've been using CBT in my experience for the last 10 years. It's helped numerous clients challenge reoccurring negative thoughts and managing their anxiety. We'll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. Hopefully, resulting in a change of your thinking leading to a less stressed life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I've been using DBT in my experience for the last 3 years within my practice as I've found it to be more helpful with clients to: Develop Skills: Learn practical techniques for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindful living. Enhance Relationships: Improve communication and interpersonal skills for healthier relationships. Build Resilience: Cultivate coping strategies to manage stress and navigate life’s challenges more effectively. My goal is to empower you with the tools and insights needed to lead a balanced, fulfilling life.
