I have specialized training in many forms of therapy ranging from traditional talk therapy to the latest neurobiological breakthroughs. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with couples and families to help alleviate some of the most grievous situations and find a comfortable change. As a trauma specialist, I focus on treating individuals with PTSD, the various aftereffects of childhood and/or adult sexual abuse, secondary trauma, domestic violence, depression/anxiety, grief/loss, the various aftereffects of 2020 and Covid 19, and behavioral changes for healthier living.
I work together with clients to identify and understand what may be blocking them from feeling better. I listen with empathy, with non-judgement, and help to empower individuals in areas where they feel stuck, exhausted, or defeated. I am a systems-approach therapist who listens carefully as the client speaks of his/her life experiences to learn and then to guide the client to his/her own better life experience. My practice is to work alongside clients as they explore possible solutions that seem right for their life circumstances. Your personal therapy goals will be the focus of our work together. If you're ready to take the next step, I'll be here to walk with you.
I have a lot of life experiences to draw from to relate to most situations. I use humor and laughter as a necessary tool in facilitating change. I notice subtle progresses as therapy moves forward and will express that to the client. My heart is here to help those who may not have any other source of validation. I want to make sure that clients felt heard and believed in their stories of struggles and failures. I allow the client to develop and change in their desired path toward healing.
