Healing begins when you have a safe place to explore your experiences, better understand yourself, and discover new ways forward. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, caregiver stress, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or struggling to balance the needs of others with their own wellbeing. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are ready to gain insight into how past experiences influence their current relationships, emotions, and sense of self. Whether you are struggling with difficult family dynamics, people-pleasing, boundary setting, self-confidence, chronic stress, or navigating a significant life change, therapy can provide the support and tools needed to create meaningful change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based approaches to help clients develop practical coping skills while also exploring the deeper patterns that may be keeping them stuck. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel both supported and challenged as you work toward your goals. My goal is to help clients build confidence, strengthen relationships, improve emotional wellbeing, and create lives that feel more aligned with their values. Together, we can work toward helping you feel more empowered, resilient, and capable of navigating life's challenges with greater clarity and self-trust.

At 10:23 I understand the importance of cultivating resilience and fostering healthy relationships to achieve our best life. Therapy doesn’t work when clients feel talked down to, rushed, or misunderstood. Many teens and adults I work with have tried therapy before and felt it didn’t really fit. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, I bring both clinical training and lived experience into the therapy room. This allows me to connect in a way that feels genuine, grounded, and practical—especially for teens and young adults who are skeptical of therapy or unsure where to start.

Hi there, I'm Parag. You were not put here on this earth to suffer. You deserve to live your life with happiness and peace of mind. Mental illness and addiction can rob anyone of these precious gifts. When you turn to family and friends for support, often they don't know what to say or how to help. You can end up feeling very alone in the world. No one wants to develop mental illness or addictions. You didn't do anything wrong. Feeling emotionally numb, mentally overwhelmed, or having thoughts like "I just don't want to be on this earth anymore" are not things that people willingly choose for themselves. They are illnesses. We often get sick through no fault of our own. Just like some people get diabetes or heart disease, some people get mental illness. Working over five years in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, I have helped patients overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, phobias, relationship problems, and self-esteem issues. My approach is to get to know you as a person and work on addressing what is really going on with your mind and your life right now. I know getting therapy can be scary, but I will do everything I can to help you feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. Give yourself a chance to have peace of mind again.

Hello! I’m so happy to share a little about myself. Hello, I'm M.L. I believe as humans we all want something similar, to feel normal. We want, desire, and try our best to feel like everyone else. Yet, simultaneously we desire to be unique, special, and individualistic. I believe it is necessary to think of humans as puzzle pieces in order to fulfill both. While the pieces share the same geographical space as well as have the same manufacturer, they are unique and serve varying purposes. Do you belong at the top but are content being a side piece? Are you on the bottom when you were meant to be at the center of it all? Let's collaborate and find out where you belong. You may discover the only thing wrong was where you (as a puzzle piece) tried to fit in. In therapy, I collaborate with the expert on the client (you), identify obstacles, and come up with strategies for working toward your goals. I do this by first remaining curious about you as a client as well as your perspective of the issue. I serve to remind clients that everything in life does not have to feel good in order to end with good results. You can't fix something that you don’t see. In a world of selfies no one is willing to look at any angle that doesn’t compliment their cuteness. What if you could see your truest self? The natural, emotional, relational, and spiritual you through a 3-way full body mirror. Imagine what would be possible. Good therapy, is a mirror into your soul.

Hello, my name is Teresa, practicing mental health for over 18 years working with the military population. Working as a middle school teacher in a lower socioeconomic area. This led to my desire to go back to school for my master’s degree in counseling psychology. Receiving my LPC licensure, led me to pursue my chemical dependency counselor license (LCDC). I began working as a substance abuse counselor with the US Army in substance abuse counseling. While working with the military I worked at a local hospital developing a program for civilians in chemical dependency. The need to work with individuals, and families including Service Members, led me to work as a contractor for private corporations. During this time, I received a certification in behavioral therapy to work with the autism spectrum population. Raised as a military dependent, then wife and mother, I experienced many aspects of different personalities. I was led to understand what it means to try to hide who you are to eventually become someone you may not recognize. The goal is to have you see, life is wonderful, we go through the storm to appreciate the sunshine. The experience developed led me to work with addiction, anxiety, PTSD, and many other mental health issues. We are a beautiful bouquet with different views on life. Using an eclectic therapeutic array of mental health care has allotted me to develop individual care. This concept of care is the same for couples and group therapy. Some techniques include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychosocial therapeutic techniques.

Hi, I’m Myrakle Betancourt, LCSW. I’m a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional, a doctoral candidate, and the owner of The Myrakle Space. I created this practice with one belief at the center. You deserve a space where you don’t have to hold it all together all the time, and where your growth is taken seriously, gently, and personally. If you’re a young adult figuring out what comes next after high school, college, or a major life shift, I will work with you to sort through the overwhelm, the uncertainty, and the pressure of “having to have it all figured out.” If you’re a professional in a high-demand role, especially first responders or mental health providers, I can help you slow down, manage stress, and address burnout before it takes more from you than it already has. If you’re coming in as a couple or a family, I’m here to help you actually hear each other again. We work on communication, understanding generational differences, and rebuilding connection in ways that feel real, not forced. And if you’re a parent or child navigating school, behavior, or emotional challenges, I focus on giving you practical tools and support so things feel less reactive and more manageable. When you work with me, you’re not just getting strategies you’re getting a space where you can be honest about what’s really going on without judgment or pressure. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk with you as you build something healthier, steadier, and more aligned for your life.

Hi, I’m Mali. I work with adult women who want to heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, or relationship challenges. If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, I provide a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts and emotions, build coping skills, and create meaningful change. I also support clients experiencing suicidal thoughts. I hold two master’s degrees—one in Clinical Psychology from Iran and one in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake—and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in Texas. My approach is evidence-based and trauma-informed, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), DBT, and somatic strategies such as grounding and breathwork to help clients regulate emotions and process difficult experiences.

Well, I’m here to tell you that counseling doesn’t have to be complicated. It is definitely beneficial and helpful. Counseling is about building a trusting relationship with your therapist. It’s knowing that you can talk to your therapist about anything that comes to mind. You don’t have to second-guess yourself, because counseling is all about you. It’s a place where you will be understood, where you’ll be listened to, and where you will be supported. Our ultimate goal is to increase your overall well-being. I do my best to provide my clients with a safe and comforting environment where they are free to express themselves. My clients are able to explore their thoughts, current situations, address stressors, life changes, relationship conflicts, grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and a multitude of issues. I am an optimist that has worked in the mental health and substance use space since 2007 as both a clinician and music therapist. Most battles are won and lost before they are ever fought because our thoughts drive our feelings and affect our behaviors. The challenge becomes mastering our thought process. Figuring out "who" we are is more useful than "why" we are so important in our journey to overcoming challenges, being resilient and becoming who we want to be. I thoroughly enjoy exploring and cultivating holistic coping strategies and firmly believe everything is better with music and chocolate.
