I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore the challenges you're facing. I work alongside my clients to identify their strengths, better understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and develop a personalized plan to address problem areas and make meaningful progress toward their goals. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I strive to provide practical tools, compassionate support, and evidence-based interventions tailored to your unique needs. Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they build resilience, gain insight, and create lasting, positive change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our intake session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and creating a safe, welcoming space where you can feel comfortable sharing your story. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and how these challenges may be affecting different areas of your life. We'll also explore aspects of your personal history, including your mental and physical health, family and relationship dynamics, work or school experiences, support system, and any previous counseling or treatment. Just as importantly, we'll identify your strengths, the coping strategies you've already developed, and what you hope to gain from therapy. This first session is an opportunity for us to begin building a strong therapeutic relationship, answer any questions you may have about the counseling process, and work together to develop goals that reflect what matters most to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapist who believes that healing happens at your pace. My approach is primarily nondirective, meaning I will never push you to discuss or process experiences before you feel ready. Together, we'll build a strong foundation of trust, safety, and coping skills before exploring more difficult or traumatic experiences. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy. I have specialized training in EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for the treatment of trauma, allowing me to tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals. The strengths I bring to therapy include empathy, patience, authenticity, and the ability to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and accepted. I value collaboration and believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you identify your strengths, develop practical tools, gain insight, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're working through trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or relationship challenges, I strive to provide a supportive environment where you can feel safe, empowered, and hopeful throughout the therapeutic process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I often work with women who have spent years adapting to the needs and expectations of others and are ready to reconnect with themselves. Many of my clients are caregivers, helpers, or individuals who have learned to prioritize others while losing touch with their own needs, boundaries, and sense of identity. My trauma-informed approach recognizes how past experiences can shape the way we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us. Together, we explore patterns that may have developed as ways of coping, while building greater self-compassion, emotional regulation, confidence, and a stronger sense of self. I support clients in healing from trauma, navigating life transitions, setting healthy boundaries, and creating a life that feels more aligned with their values and goals. Through collaboration and evidence-based approaches, we work toward increased resilience, self-trust, and lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build practical coping strategies to support emotional well-being.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma-focused therapy that helps the brain process distressing memories and experiences that may feel “stuck.” EMDR can support healing by reducing the intensity of painful memories and helping clients develop more adaptive beliefs and responses.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a trauma-focused approach that helps clients explore how traumatic experiences may have shaped their beliefs about themselves, others, and the world. Through this process, we work to develop a more balanced understanding of the experience and reduce the emotional impact of trauma-related thoughts.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I take a person-centered approach, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life and experiences. My role is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. We will work collaboratively at a pace that feels comfortable for you, honoring your individual needs, values, and readiness for change. Through empathy, authenticity, and trust, I strive to help you gain insight, recognize your strengths, and create meaningful growth.

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach, which focuses on recognizing and building upon the strengths, resilience, and resources you already possess. Rather than viewing challenges as defining who you are, we explore the skills, experiences, and qualities that have helped you navigate life so far. Together, we identify areas for growth while building confidence, self-trust, and new ways of coping that support your goals. I believe therapy is a collaborative process that helps you reconnect with your strengths and recognize your ability to create meaningful change.
