Hello! My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can process your experiences, deepen your understanding of yourself, and explore areas where healing is needed. I take a person-centered approach, meaning you lead the way in your journey while I follow—offering guidance, support, and tools as needed. I offer EMDR, IFS, CBT, and other modalities, tailoring our work to what feels most helpful and empowering for you.
I also place a strong emphasis on connecting the mind and body, as many of us experience a disconnect between the two. For those who are interested, I incorporate elements of energy therapy—drawing on yogic principles, Usui Reiki, and other approaches—to support your healing process.

I am a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist with extensive experience helping clients navigate some of life’s most challenging struggles. My areas of specialty include substance use disorders, process addictions, eating disorders, and trauma. I also have a strong background working with first responders, military service members, and their families, understanding the unique stressors, cultural dynamics, and mental health challenges.
I approach therapy with a client-centered and individualized perspective. I understand that no two journeys are the same, and I work collaboratively to create a safe, supportive space. My goal is to help you identify patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and gain insight into the underlying factors that may be influencing your behaviors and emotional responses.
In my work with substance use and process addictions, I focus on helping clients build resilience, identify triggers, and strengthen tools for relapse prevention. When supporting clients with eating disorders, I combine compassionate support with evidence-based interventions to address both the physical and psychological aspects of recovery. I also specialize in trauma-focused care, helping individuals process painful experiences in a safe and structured way, reducing emotional distress, and building emotional regulation skills.
Working with first responders and military clients, I understand the high levels of stress, trauma exposure, and unique cultural factors that can impact mental health. I provide practical tools, psychoeducation, and coping strategies to support emotional well-being while honoring the unique identity and experiences of each client.
Whether you are seeking to process trauma, heal from addiction, manage anxiety or depression, or improve your overall well-being, I am here to guide you. Together, we can create a treatment plan that aligns with your goals, fosters personal growth, and empowers you to live a more balanced and fulfilling life. You are not alone in this journey, and change is possible.
I have 32 years of experience providing counseling. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, stressing that what we think determines what we feel and what we do. For many reasons, people learn unrealistic or destructive thoughts that cause them problems in their lives. Therapy works towards more realistic thinking, and avoiding old and destructive thinking. As I like to say, "therapy is a conversation with a destination," and realistic thinking is that destination.
While I am a Christian, I am not trained as a Christian Counselor. I am a "Counselor who is a Christian." My training is secular, and I regularly see people or all faiths, or none at all. I do not offer court ordered services, nor do I do assessments for custody, or any other legal purpose. Unfortunately, I cannot accept Medicare, or Medicare based plans.
The world is changing, and more and more people are reaching out. I am seeing more men that have been in abusive relationships. There are also more people dealing with loss. Coming to my office is not like going to a big mental health clinic where you just another number on a spreadsheet. In my care, you are a person, and you'll be treated like one.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adolescents, young adults, and parents who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or caught in patterns that aren’t working. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, intense emotions, relationship challenges, or behaviors that feel hard to control. I specialize in helping clients better understand their emotions and develop practical skills to manage them more effectively.
My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I integrate DBT and trauma-informed strategies to help clients build emotion regulation, communication, and coping skills that translate into real-life change. Therapy with me is both supportive and structured- a space where you feel understood while also learning concrete tools that help you move forward.
I also provide parent coaching, helping caregivers strengthen connection, set effective boundaries, and respond confidently to challenging behaviors. Whether I’m working with an individual or a family, my focus is on building clarity, resilience, and meaningful, lasting growth.
If you are here because you are struggling with anxiety, eating disorders, low self-esteem, and life transitions there is a way out. Hello, and welcome! My introduction to the counseling field began while working within therapeutic group homes that served children through adults experiencing mental health struggles. This experience, both enriching and meaningful, inspired my interest in pursuing counseling. I was deeply moved by the varying degrees of challenging life experiences that we are all tasked with navigating and the ways we attempt to cope, gain insight from, and hopefully transform our adverse circumstances. I received my Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University and since, I’ve had the opportunity to assist a diverse range of clients in both inpatient treatment and outpatient therapy settings, and more recently, at a college counseling clinic at the University of Montana. Within these programs, I’ve helped clients address anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, academic challenges, relationships, identity changes, sexuality, and general life stressors.
I am grateful that I can work to help individuals navigate the evolving nature of their lives by providing unconditional positive regard, encouragement, and supportive guidance.

While we get into the very serious work, people will often walk by my door and hear me laughing with clients. I have a sense of humor and know when to use it. I believe it helps heal. I come from a trauma background, working as a child welfare social worker. The 13 years I have spent as a social worker has shaped me into the therapist that I am today. I love to work with trauma (weird thing to say, right?) and the outcomes I have seen from it keep me doing this work. Im best for those looking to heal open or reopening wounds or nagging anxiety and depression.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, working and living under the Arizona sun. I feel deeply connected to the community I grew up in and remain committed to serving clients in Pennsylvania. I began my undergraduate studies at William Paterson University of New Jersey, where I played Division III soccer. Balancing academics, athletics, and life responsibilities gave me firsthand insight into the challenges young adults face, furthering my interest in mental health. After graduation, my work in drug and alcohol counseling revealed the impact of trauma and inspired me to pursue a master’s degree in Community and Trauma Counseling at Jefferson University–East Falls. Shortly after graduating from Jefferson, I became a licensed professional counselor which is one of my most proudest achievements.
I work from a humanistic approach and believe in being holistic and pulling from a variety of counseling theories and techniques to meet clients where they are at. I work with children and adults from diverse backgrounds and with a range of concerns. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, dual-diagnosis clients, etc. I have a special interest in military, first responders, and children from the child welfare system. I believe that counseling is a partnership of sorts and try to help individuals meet their full potential by understanding their life experiences from their perspective.
I combine experience with education to provide a realistic approach to counseling by empowering individuals in their journey and help them meet their full potential. While I am grounded in a humanistic, person-centered approach, I believe that no one person is the same and that having an eclectic approach to helping others is important.
Please feel free to reach out and see how I can best help you meet your needs and reach your full potential.
Welcome—I’m so glad you’re here.
It’s truly an honor to support you as you take this meaningful step toward your well-being and self-understanding. This includes supporting individuals navigating depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief and loss, parenting challenges, and end-of-life transitions.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with ten years of experience in individual and group counseling in settings ranging from inpatient rehab to outpatient group and individual therapy. I love what I do and consider it a privilege to work with people who are trying to be their best selves. My counseling style is rooted in compassion, authenticity, directness, and humor.
I am a veteran of the helping professions, having served since 1982 in some capacity or another, and I still find excitement in the possibility of helping those who need such assistance. I am currently licensed in two states, both North Carolina and Pennsylvania. I find many people respond to my ability to simply listen and that shows that they do not often feel they have been heard and sometimes this is all that is necessary to start the journey to begin healing. Certainly more is often required, and helping people connect with effective treatments whether provided by myself or not is the best help that can be given.
I am a clinician that has close to 20 years in the field post graduate culminating up 30 years helping people in various capacities. I value the social work principle of client's right to self determination and meeting the client where they are while focusing on their strengths and helping them shift and grow as they heal from old wounds, manage and solve current stressors and problems, and move forward with confidence with new adaptive skills and transformed perspective.
