Hi — I’m Kristin. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) in Pennsylvania, and I’m glad you’re here. Taking the step to explore therapy can feel vulnerable, empowering, confusing, hopeful, or all of the above — and I see that in the courage it took just to read this. You deserve to feel heard, seen, and supported without judgment or pressure.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our work together, we’ll explore what matters most to you — your goals, your strengths, and the changes you want to see. I believe therapy should be collaborative; you’ll get a supportive partnership rooted in curiosity, safety, and growth. My aim is for you to walk away from each session with more clarity, possibility, and peace than when you came in. If you’re ready to take the next step — whether you need support in a challenging season or want deeper insight into yourself and your relationships — I’d be honored to work alongside you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
The person-centered approach allows our sessions to move at your own pace, ensuring you feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. By focusing on both you and your environment, I can make clear and holistic assessments, helping us to understand your unique situation fully and identify the best path forward. The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, grief, or relationship challenges, I aim to provide a space where you can come as you are — honestly, gently, and with your unique story at the center of the work. My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and grounded in compassion, helping you make sense of what’s been hard and build skills that actually help you feel steadier and more capable in your daily life.
Trauma Informed Care
While meeting with clients through a Trauma Informed Care (TIC) perspective, I focus on an understanding of trauma in all aspects of life to promote healing, hope, and avoid re-traumatization. This includes firstly establishing safety both physical and emotional, building trust, practicing transparency through collaborative documentation, empowerment.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT in treatment focuses on helping clients embrace their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or feeling guilty for them. ACT includes acceptance of feelings, embracing feelings even though they may be uncomfortable, observe thoughts, be present, increase awareness in the moment, foster a broader perspective, and commit to your goals and values.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Person-centered treatment includes acceptance and support for the client without judgment, practicing empathy, transparency as a therapist where I will offer constructive and helpful feedback, and non-directive style which allows the client to lead the conversation. This perspective may also include the social work perspective of Person In Environment (PIE) which takes the perspective of understanding client's environment and self-care which includes living/home life, career/professional, social interactions and relationships, access to healthcare and community resources, and emotional self-care.
