Hi, I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of social work and mental health experience. I utilize evidence-based therapy models focused on my clients' strengths, abilities, and unique life experiences in efforts to improve quality of life and restore overall health and wellness. I greatly enjoy my work with clients and the reward in my work is seeing clients succeed and overcome life's challenges.
Hello, I'm Charles. With 24 years of professional experience, I am dedicated to helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, family conflicts, trauma, and depression. My approach is rooted in the belief that you are the expert of your own story, and together, we can harness your strengths to overcome the challenges you face. I am here to support and empower you every step of the way.
I hold a Master of Arts in Community Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from Kent State University. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I have specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My extensive background includes working with individuals, families, and groups, addressing a wide range of mental health issues such as PTSD, addiction, ADHD, and more.
In my private practice, I focus on online individual and couples therapy, emphasizing stress management, emotional regulation, and trauma resolution. My previous role as a Residential Therapist at OhioGuidestone allowed me to provide comprehensive care for children and adolescents with severe emotional problems, develop treatment plans, and offer clinical supervision.
Throughout my career, I have been recognized for my contributions to the field, receiving the Clinical Service Award in 2004 and multiple inductions into various Sports Halls of Fame. These accolades reflect my commitment to excellence and my passion for helping others.
Outside of my professional life, I value open-mindedness and creativity, which I bring into my therapeutic practice. I believe in developing and communicating personalized plans for your growth and development, ensuring that our work together is both effective and timely.
If you're ready to take the first step towards positive change, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to create a path towards a more fulfilling and happier life.
My focus is on a variety of life issues that impede the unique potential of the individual. These include substance abuse and dependency, Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder, anxiety, depression, and trauma as well as major life events that happen to us all. I works with people from all walks of life including children, couples, and adults. Person centered counseling is not a platform on which one seeks advice or fears being judged, as if “under the microscope”. Rather it is a collaborative conversation based on unconditional positive regard, in which counselor and client journey together towards the client’s realization of meaning and goals.

During my final year of my ungraduate education, I participated in an intership with the Western District of Pennsylvania United States Probation & Pretrial Services. After graduation, I began working with intellectually and developmentally disabled adults. I graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania a second time with a Masters of Social Work in 2019. I became a licensed social worker after graduation in 2019 and began my career working as a mental health therapist. I help youth and young adults struggling with a variety of different issues like self-esteem, anxiety, independent living, coping skills, family issues, problem sexual behaviors, non-suicidal self-harm.
An interesting thing about me is that I have worked with youth who were living as Vampires, no judgement, just interesting!
*Please note that, at this time, I am not accepting clients who are only in need of an evaluation or clients who are mandated by the court for therapeutic services.

My most common theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Christian Therapy, but I am proud to be able to use a multitude of approaches, dependent on what works best for the client(s) involved.
I value the individual and the couple regardless of age or philosophical approach to their life or relationship. I see my goal of treatment as improving the individual or couple to be the best they want to be.
My communication tone or approach tends to be direct but laid back. We are in session to work together, not have me tell you what to do or where you need to go.
I have always been fascinated by how people work. As a child I loved learning about how the body works. As I got older my focus shifted to how minds work and how people function in this world. My education centered around mental health how to help people with their problems. I have an MS in Life Span Development and an Med in Counselor Education, both from Purdue University and am now a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio.
I enjoy gardening, traveling and learning new things. I am an optimist. My general way of relating to people is one of listing intently enough to be able to see things from their point of view, and to show respect, warmth, and humor. I believe that establishing a strong, supportive relationship is of utmost importance in therapy. Respect and honesty are essential for effective therapy. Together we can solve problems and improve bad situations.

Hello, my name is Meca, and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker. I have been serving in the field of social work for over 15 years. I truly believe that God called me to this work—it is my purpose to serve, support, and empower others on their healing journey.
I believe that every person has the capacity to heal from their past traumas. With consistent practice of healthy coping skills, we can learn to understand, manage, and regulate our emotions in healthier ways. My role is to walk alongside you, support your growth, and help you reach the point where you believe in your own strength, resilience, and healing.
Before anything else, I want to honor you for being here. For continuing to live, to breathe, and to reach for support after experiences that shattered safety, dignity, and trust at their core. Some of you survived genocide, imprisonment, starvation, and the systematic attempt to erase your humanity. Others endured incest, repeated sexual abuse, rape, and profound betrayal by those who were meant to protect you. What you lived through was not just painful—it was overwhelming, violating, and life-altering.
The people I work with include Holocaust survivors and descendants of survivors, as well as individuals who lived through severe childhood trauma and repeated sexual violence. These experiences do not simply live in memory; they live in the body and nervous system. Survival required extraordinary adaptation—hypervigilance, emotional restraint, dissociation, silence, endurance. These responses were not choices you made freely. They were ways your system kept you alive when there were no safe options.
Many of my clients are deeply perceptive and capable. They learned early how to read danger, to manage others’ emotions, or to disappear in order to survive. Often, they function well on the outside while carrying fear, grief, shame, or numbness inside. What they are seeking now is not more explanation or analysis. They are seeking safety—something they may never have known. The ability to feel grounded in their bodies, to experience closeness without fear, and to rest without remaining on guard.
Our work together is slow, respectful, and paced to your nervous system. We do not rush healing or force meaning. We focus on rebuilding internal safety, restoring choice, and gently supporting the parts of you that learned to survive unthinkable conditions—while making room for the parts that long to live, connect, and feel at home in themselves again.

Ms. Harmon-Rodriguez obtained Trauma-Focused CBT and Motivational training through the State of Ohio. She started her career as an MH Social Worker in 2002, working with dually diagnosed adults and children, which inspired and sparked her interest in the specialization of the dually diagnosed and family systems with evidence-based and cognitive-based treatments.
She has dedicated herself to providing comprehensive care for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This early experience ignited her passion for delving into the complexities of dual diagnosis, leading her to specialize in evidence-based and cognitive treatments tailored to individuals and their families.
At different points in our lives, we may encounter challenges that feel overwhelming. Often, the hardest step is simply reaching out for help.
