First and foremost a safe space where we can provide brief introductions. You can expect to spend time discussing your reasons for seeking therapy, including specific issues, symptoms, and situations that are causing you distress. You will be providing details about your personal history and current challenges, and we will be working to establish clear goals for treatment. Know I will ask a lot of questions to understand your situation and assess your needs, while also explaining my approach to therapy and what you can expect from the process.
My greatest strengths would include being warm, kind, openminded, respectful, and accepting of all individuals. I build a strong relationship with clients. This therapeutic rapport leaves clients feeling safe and respected. This is essential recognizing the therapeutic process requires clients to share their innermost thoughts, fears, concerns, and life traumas. I have a deep capacity for empathy and active and reflective listening. Creating and holding a safe and supportive space for clients, tailoring interventions to individual needs, fostering collaboration and empowerment, while staying current with evidence-based practices; allow me to effectively connect with clients, understand their experiences, and guide them towards positive change.

I serve adults seeking Individual therapy who are motivated to actively engage in the therapeutic process, open to self-reflection, committed to personal growth, and willing to confront challenging emotions while seeking to develop healthier coping mechanisms; individuals looking to address issues like anxiety, depression, loss and grief, relationship conflicts, low self-esteem, or trauma could particularly benefit from my approach, especially if they value a collaborative and supportive therapeutic and safe environment.

I have over 10 + years of experience with using CBT is a treatment method. CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. I utilize this treatment to assist and educate clients of the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This method of treatment is very beneficial to individuals that appreciate structure, are goal-oriented and can work collaboratively. I focus on teaching clients practical tools to improve their emotional well-being, all the while playing an active, guiding role in the process.
After many years of providing therapeutic services I strongly believe that not all treatment approaches are created equal. The eclectic method involves combining different therapeutic approaches, depending on the client's needs, preferences, and the specific issues they are facing. This approach allows me to remain flexible. If one approach isn’t working, then we can switch to another method. In the eclectic model, I work closely with the client to understand what resonates best with them. This makes the process more collaborative and client-centered.
Grief therapy provides a structured space for individuals to process their feelings, understand their grief, and eventually adapt to this new reality without their loved one. I will work with you to examine your thoughts and help reframe these thoughts in a more balanced way. I teach coping strategies, like grounding techniques or relaxation exercises, to manage overwhelming emotions. In addition, I will guide you in noticing and accepting your emotions without trying to avoid them. This can reduce the intensity of grief by fostering acceptance. Grief therapy can be an emotional journey. Initially, you might feel overwhelmed by the intensity of their grief. Over time, through a combination of therapeutic approaches, you may feel a gradual sense of relief and empowerment. While the pain of the loss may never fully disappear, therapy helps find ways to live with your grief in a healthier way.
Overall, person-centered treatment allows me to tailor my approach to each individual’s unique needs, fostering a collaborative, empowering relationship that supports personal growth. I integrate person-centered treatment in various ways that focus on building a strong therapeutic alliance by allowing the client to lead the discussion. I create a therapeutic environment where empathy, respect, and trust are central while collaborating with clients to set goals that align with their values and that their treatment plan feels empowering and relevant to their lived experiences.
