Hey There, I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio. I received a Masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from Ohio University. I also received my undergraduate in elementary education and taught school for 7 years before becoming a therapist. I help kids, adults and couples struggling with a wide range of challenges. I specially in EMDR therapy and many other types of evidence based therapies. My hobbies are hunting, fishing, golf, camping, kayaking and anything outdoors.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I use a person-centered approach. This approach allows the client process needs and not feel judged. I also listen and validate the client throughout the whole process. With a background in education and mental health I explain and educate the client so they can have a great understanding of what is actually happening and how to improve their lives. I enjoy setting up an atmosphere where feel comfortable and at the same time are being challenged to take the steps necessary to experience more well-being.
