I have been known as the "Self-Empowering" therapist and the "Green Couch" therapist. My gift of exhortation has made me aware that I have the ability to speak hope and accountability into a person's life for them to choose their area of growth at the pace they choose, thus becoming the "Self-Empowering" therapist. My Clinical Specialty Areas: Depression, Anxiety, Holistic Treatment & Christian Counseling. My background in business and community work, along with clinical therapy, has allowed me to identify the need for "Green Couch therapy" as entrepreneurs and business owners are on the rise but have difficulty separating their self-worth from their business profit, or their mental health interferes with business productivity. I am a creative clinician to work with, thus making me open-minded to hearing your story and working at a pace that is comfortable to you. Most of my clients have stayed with me on average for 1.5 years because I allow them to feel validated and yet uncomfortable at times for them to be able to GROW.

Hi! My name is Billy. Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, stress, anger...or possibly all five? These issues are not uncommon and can be debilitating, especially when guilt or shame are added to the mix. But you can kick them all to the curb. All it takes is a willingness to change your perspectives. I've worked with thousands of clients (adults and children) who struggle with self-defeating beliefs that zap the joy out of life. And I've found that Hope and Purpose, along with healthy doses of Motivation and Creativity, crush inner demons. How do you find Hope and Purpose? It's not as complicated as you might think. We are made to help each other. We are made to communicate. We are made to have a positive impact. Sometimes, though, life attacks from all directions and leaves us feeling defeated. That's when we need help. I'm here to listen. I'm here to learn about your struggles and find ways to help you view them differently. And, who knows? I may even share some of my Blackstone Griddle secrets along the way. God Bless!

Trauma is a catalyst that can either bind us in grief or propel us toward greatness. By accepting what cannot be changed and learning how to properly cope with what is, we can all live a life we envision. In my experience as a therapist, I have noticed the impact grief, loss and trauma can have on an individual's psyche. With that being said, I have also noticed- and have profound appreciation for- the innate resilience evidenced in the healing process. For the past 10 years, I’ve worked tirelessly in community mental health, school based and psychiatric sites where I provided individual, family, and group therapy. By analyzing past circumstances, teaching self- awareness, and offering an open space to just be, I help clients unshackle the pain that keeps them bound. I pull from various treatment modalities including Humanistic, Acceptance Commitment, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Strengths-Based, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Let us embark on this healing journey together. Reclaim the person you were always intended to be! Signed, The Connected Counselor

Welcome! I'm glad that you are showing an interest in your own or a family member's emotional and mental well being. I'm Becky Hunt, though the official name is Rebecca. I have been working with children and families since 2004. I have provided many different kinds of case management and therapeutic services in my social work career. I believe that wellness includes many factors of a person's life--mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Some of those things in your life might be in balance while other areas are not. You probably already have the ability to manage many situation or challenges with a combination of existing strengths and learned skills; we can add to those together. My work-joy is found in play therapy. Through play therapy child, families, and (yes!) adults can work through many issues in their lives. The best part is all the hard work doesn't feel like work, it feels like play. We learn skills by playing throughout our entire lives beginning with playing peek-a-boo; on the grade school play ground; sports and backyard games; as well as board games and card games with friends. If playing isn't for you, I also provide the traditional "talk therapy" that most people are familiar. I received a specialization in Military Social Work during my master’s program at USC and have a passion for working with those, both children and adults, who have experienced trauma. Trauma can show up in a lot of different ways and look like many things. We can work together to sort that out. In counseling, we can use a combination of CBT, solution focused, and problem-solving therapy, along with Motivational Interviewing, trauma therapies, and (yes even) Play Therapy when appropriate. Your individualized plan, developed in your words, will be a great road map for reaching your desired destination. I would be honored to walk with you along that path. Seeking help reflects the courage and drive that you already have within you. Let's get started!

It is with much admiration and respect that I engage with clients in the journey to wellness. As a therapist, I have always believed in the strength of the individual to heal. I have a depth of knowledge and years of experience knowing how mental health concerns impact individuals. It is part of who you are, but it doesn't need to define you. It can be difficult to seek help when things seem overwhelming and that is why I have always tried to create a warm, compassionate and safe environment. I am accepting of wherever you may be in your journey of self-discovery and growth. I have been a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 1998. Prior to working in private practice, much of my career has been working with teens in the foster care system. I have been able to support individuals who have struggled with trauma (including sexual trauma), self-worth and identify questions, grief, relationship issues and general adjustment to life's difficulties.

I have always been fascinated by how people work. As a child I loved learning about how the body works. As I got older my focus shifted to how minds work and how people function in this world. My education centered around mental health how to help people with their problems. I have an MS in Life Span Development and an Med in Counselor Education, both from Purdue University and am now a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio. I enjoy gardening, traveling and learning new things. I am an optimist. I believe that establishing a strong, supportive relationship is of utmost importance in therapy. Respect and honesty are essential for effective therapy. Hi there! I feel the opportunity to provide therapy has been number 1 on my gratitude list. Oh yes, I should add waking up this morning as well. Following your lead is what I prefer. What are you looking to change in your life? Whether calming anxiety, decreasing depression or managing an unhelpful behavior. For instance, unpredictable mood swings, fears of being abandoned, neediness, risky, or aggressive behaviors? Perhaps it's nothing like these examples that brings you here. We can certainly think about what is causing issues and especially what is not causing issues. Together we can think of some goals worth meeting. My experience includes: work on a crisis residential unit, vocational training, provided mental health therapy in the community, ran several mental health groups to include self-compassion and DBT, worked in a level 1 & 2 prison from supportive counseling to suicide management, and for the past year, I have enjoyed teletherapy practice. I am a trauma therapist, I provide DBT, CBT, EMDR, grief work, mindfulness and present-moment awareness skills.

As a Reality Therapist, who is also a certified DBT practitioner, I believe we are all responsible for the choices we make. I have worked with people of all ages suffering from alcohol and drug-related addictions, borderline personality disorder, PTSD and other trauma-related disorders, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and interpersonal problems. My core values are integrity, truthfulness, responsibility, compassion, and accountability and I operate from a place of moral principle. My purpose is to speak life into others and teach them how to do the same, starting within themselves. When we learn to connect our mind, body, and spirit we can accept things for what they are, people for who they are, and still find harmony within. To me, life is like a roller coaster, and sometimes the only way to enjoy it is to throw your hands up and scream until you find the laughter within. We all suffer. We all have a story to tell. I’m here to listen to yours and help you find the peace that surpasses all understanding because we were never designed to go through life alone. Join me if you want to learn how to take back control of your life and become comfortably uncomfortable. You are unique. You are beloved. You are enough. It's time to be who you were designed and created to be!

Are you struggling with maintaining your sanity as a wife, mother and caretaker? Or are you just someone who needs clarity on what your needs really are? While sometimes it is difficult to understand your own needs, therapy is a way to maintain your self care, learn how to gain better understanding and communicate your needs and feelings, to help you address barriers to healthy relationships and accomplishing personal goals. As a therapist I have 14 years of experience in helping adults and adolescents identify their own needs and collaborate to help them recognize how to improve upon those barriers. My primary interest is in helping individuals gain insight into their self worth in order to better manage life and mental health barriers. In therapy with me clients learn how to adjust negative thinking, improve self care, adjust self esteem and adjust your ability to believe in yourself. Sure therapy can be scary and even stigmatized but with the right collaboration it can be a godsend. Let me help you on your journey, let me help you adjust your crown.

I have many years of experience in helping children and parents with dual diagnoses (developmental delays with comorbid mental health diagnoses) in a wide variety of settings. I believe in a collaborative approach to treatment and integrative models of care to help maximize an individual's potential. I join my clients on their journey to healing and recovery in a safe, non-judgmental environment. I specialize in working with parents of children with special needs that present with challenging behavioral issues, including autism spectrum disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, trauma and anxiety. I also have experience with treating ADHD, communication and social issues. Navigating many systems of care can present complex challenges for parents and contribute to anxiety and/or depression from adversity or barriers when trying to care for a child or children with special needs. Due to my background in social work, I also help to link families to other resources that may be needed to help stabilize functioning. I have completed additional coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis and have worked with children diagnosed with Autism as an ABA therapist in home and school settings, which provides me with a unique perspective when treating this population. I have also been trained in Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy for those impacted by trauma.
