I understand there are levels to mental health; we all have good days and the next we may experience hopelessness. I am hopeful that I can support client's in meeting their personal mental health goals. I am of the opinion that therapy is a professional conversation that leads to purpose, clarity, empowerment and knowledge of self. My treatment methods

Interpersonal

Interpersonal is a method of psychotherapy that focuses on improving interpersonal relationships and social functioning to help reduce psychological symptoms, particularly those related to depression, anxiety, and grief. I guide clients to reflect on relationships and identify where tensions or challenges exist. Support client's in framing their emotional struggles in relational terms. Teach assertiveness, active listening, and emotional expression techniques, suggest strategies for building new support networks and adjusting expectations.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is based on the premise that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and that changing unhelpful thinking patterns can lead to changes in emotions and behaviors. I support clients in cognitive restructuring by identifying and challenging distorted thoughts. Additionally, behavioral activation by encouraging increased engagement with positive and rewarding activities. Lastly, skills training such as problem-solving, relaxation practices and, assertiveness.

Christian Counseling

Christian counseling can be both powerful and respectful of a person’s spiritual worldview. Christian counseling aims to treat the whole person mind, body, and spirit and many elements of CBT and IPT align well with biblical principles such as renewal of the mind, healthy relationships, accountability, and grace.
