Hi, I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio. I have over 7 years of experience working in trauma-informed care, and with families. Women tend to prioritize the needs of everyone else in their life, and put their own needs last. I am here to make your needs a priority and help you live a thriving successful life no matter what your role is.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session we will review policies, procedures and other important information when it comes to our successful therapeutic relationship. We will complete an assessment to get some previous history and background about your current presenting problems that led you to find me. Build rapport is important, and your ability to feel comfortable and safe is always the most important factor in our relationship. I really like to spend the time to "get to know" one another, so that I can get an idea of what is needed to make sure that you are successful in your journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

During my experience working with families I have learned that keeping situations as light hearted as possible helps the healing process. I tend to use a humorous approach while still being cognizant of your current struggles. Our therapeutic relationship is very important to me, and I like to keep our treatment as client-centered as possible, so that your journey is unique to you. I believe there are strengths in everything, and finding them is a strength that I recognize in my self. It's important to me to help you recognize and build up your own strengths to help you see your value.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Recognizing the effects of trauma is important to the healing journey. It is important to keep trauma at the center of every treatment to avoid re-experiencing or distressing processes.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is at the forefront of therapy. The goal with CBT is to take your negative thoughts, and turn them into positive. Retraining our brain away from the negative is vital for success.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Being present in the moment with our thoughts, feelings and emotions is important. Using grounding techniques, and recognizing tension in our body helps us process our thoughts on a different level.
