Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in OH. I received my Masters from Ashland Theological Seminary and have been practicing for the last 5 years. As a mom, I know the difficulty it is to manage work and home life while not losing yourself to those roles. I love to help come alongside women and men, whether they work in the home or out, and help them manages the heavy weight on their shoulders and find the joy of being present in the moment.
What would hope look like for you? Hope might be the ability to manage depression and anxiety or taking control of your present. Whatever hope looks like for you, as you start to take your life back, you will be empowered as the person in the mirror begins to look more and more like the person you want to be.
Hope is knowing that you are not alone in your fight. Let me walk beside you as we embark on a journey of hope and new life. I offer virtual sessions Monday/Thursday. If you would like to set up an appointment visit the website link to set up an appointment or call/email/text the number provided.
Does any of this sound familiar? Life weighs you down so much that hope is a thing of the past. Activities that you enjoyed a few short years ago now are meaningless and uninteresting. Depression is the ruler of your life and decisions, and you do not even recognize the person in the mirror. Your relationships with family and friends have hit rock bottom. Especially as parents or young adults, this brings immense amounts of guilt because you cannot be as present as you feel you should.
Over my five years of licensure, I have utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and participated in related training. Through the CBT module, we work together to help clients identify and modifying negative thought patterns, often utilizing ABCDE model to challenge and restructure these cognitions.
I have practical experiencing and training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), including the application of mindfulness techniques for emotional regulation. I utilize these skills to help clients change behavior, employing tools such as chain analysis and the concept of "wise mind" to help identify what led to unhealthy habits and develop effective coping strategies.
