Hi there! I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Certified Play Therapist, and I spent nearly 10 years as a school counselor. For over a decade, I’ve loved working in private practice, supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges and transitions.
I meet with clients both virtually and at my in-person office. My passion is helping people navigate life’s ups and downs while developing emotional well-being, confidence, and a greater understanding of themselves. Every client is unique, so I tailor my approach to fit their individual needs. I believe therapy can be both meaningful and enjoyable, and I incorporate creative approaches such as art, nature, and play to help clients engage in the therapeutic process and express themselves in ways that feel natural and comfortable.
My name is Maykin K. Boyd LCSW, LCAS. I received my Master's in Social Work from East Carolina University. I hold licensure & provide therapy services as a clinical social worker (generalist), clinical addictions specialist. I have been in therapeutic practice for the past 6 years. I employ a variety of interventions in practice to include psychotherapy, psychoeducation, & coping skills development.
I’m Arin. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 8 years of experience helping clients work through anxiety, depression and life transitions. Whether related to work, school, family, relationships, body image, and/or self esteem, I begin by working with my clients to identify their personal strengths and trigger(s). To this end, I tailor each session to specifically address who I’m with, where they are with their unique challenges, and where they are in their life. Then, with this framework setting the stage, I provide an environment of understanding and compassion to allow each client to feel safe and supported as they work to set boundaries and meet their goals.
My name is Aaron Farley, and I provide telehealth therapy to clients in Virginia. After completing my doctoral degree (PsyD) in 2010, I completed a 2 year fellowship in clinical neuropsychology. I have experience working with a wide variety of clients with numerous reasons for seeking therapy. I approach therapy from a collaborative perspective and work with the client to understand the unique strengths and challenges that have impacted the client's life. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help build a shared understanding of your life and goals for treatment.
I am committed to providing a warm, respectful, and client-centered environment for treatment. Please do no hesitate to reach out if you have questions or need additional information.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor supporting adults experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, and overthinking. Many of my clients feel exhausted, stuck, or weighed down by daily demands and are looking for clarity and relief. I offer a supportive, collaborative space to understand emotional patterns, reduce anxiety, and build practical tools for grounding and emotional regulation. My goal is to help you feel more steady, self-aware, and able to move through life with greater clarity and confidence.
I believe that in order for counseling to be successful we must work equally as a team with forming goals, implementing interventions, and assessing progress. In my view, to make sense of overwhelming issues it is best to break them down. Feelings and thoughts affect our behaviors and how we make sense of the world. Therefore, we must address the impact those feelings and thoughts are having on our symptoms and actions. While also diving into the root of those thoughts and feelings.

I am here to provide you with a safe space where you can speak openly and honestly. I want you to feel supported, seen and heard as you share personal details of your life. Together, we will work on finding ways to improve your well-being so you feel more confident in your lifestyle.

I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe, heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Many clients tell me they appreciate my conversational, down-to-earth style. While therapy can involve discussing difficult topics, I also believe healing can include moments of humor, self-discovery, and recognizing your strengths along the way. These times are urgent. Let us slow down.” ― Bayo Akomolafe
Let's take things one breath at a time, slowing down instead of rushing through the hard parts. I don’t believe in fixing or solving everything all at once in the hopes it does not reoccur. Instead, I offer space for curiosity, vulnerability, and connection, because that’s often where healing begins. Together we’ll practice being with your experiences, not just getting past them.
I work with people facing all kinds of mental health and personal life challenges, and I especially love helping clients untangle old patterns and build new ones that feel more like them. My approach is relational and HUMOROUS, humanistic, honest, warm, and collaborative. I work mostly with teens and adults. Outside of therapy, I’m usually testing a new hairstyle, thrifting, listening to Afrobeats, or walking my dachshund, Winston-Bishop.
I am doctoral level licensed clinical social worker, a licensed clinical additions specialist, and a clinical supervisor. With experience in various roles from therapist, prevention specialist, and program director I enjoy helping young children, teenagers, and adults achieve balance in everyday living. My expertise include mental health therapy, chemical dependency counseling, curriculum development and instruction, care management, and prevention education. I have experience working with youth and adults in various settings from the foster care environment, outpatient and inpatient treatment centers, to private practice.

When I started Graduate School, I went in with the notion of studying Psychology until I came across the Social Work Program, after doing some extensive research into the profession, I decided that is what I wanted to do. I learned I can help individuals with their Mental Health as well as take a holistic approach to address any barriers they may face while working towards their goals.
