New to Grow
I have been an LCMHC for 14 years. I treat adults, with depression, Bipolar, Women's issues, and adults who are trauma survivors. I am licensed in the state of North Carolina, therefore I can only see clients who reside in North Carolina. I want to assist clients who have developed coping skills (for whatever reason) that are not currently serving them to develop more productive ones; Additionally, to strengthen your relationships, your boundaries, and increase your personal effectiveness.
In our first session, we will discuss what you can expect in therapy, brief introductions. We will then discuss the concerns, or issues you are facing. We will discuss how I can assist you in working through these issues. We will also cover confidentiality, the therapeutic relationship, the intake process. What the expectations are of each other and your goals for therapy.
After working with trauma survivors and clients, with depression, women's issues and Bipolar I have developed the ability to assist client's in building effective relationships.
I enjoy working with adults who have difficulty in their relationships due to inability to set appropriate boundaries, ineffective communication, and poor coping skills due to trauma, depression, bipolar, or women's issues that have negatively impacted you.

I believe that your thoughts and emotions deeply effect how you behave on a daily basis. When we change and challenge your irrational thoughts then we can change your behaviors.
Trauma Informed Care
It's very important to me when a client has gone through trauma, as many of as many have, to be sensitive. I don't believe in making clients tell their trauma story, but rather address how their trauma is affecting them in this moment.
