Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) base in North Carolina. I earned my Master's Degree from East Carolina University and have accumulated 15 years of experience in the social work field, with 9 years of practice. I specialize in providing support to young adults and women going through various life transitions, particularly motherhood. I thoroughly enjoy assisting individuals during the perinatal to postpartum stages. I also specialize in guiding clients through their healing journey from past traumas, grief and loss, and burnout.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will follow a client-centered approach which will include brief introductions and explore some of the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Through my extensive work experiences, education, and personal life experiences, I have developed a diverse set of skills and tools that I utilize to guide clients on their healing journey. As an actively listener, I not only hear the words clients express but also pay attention to the subtle cues the body may communicate.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR is a therapy approach that helps process traumatic memories through bilateral stimulation like eye movements, taps, or sounds. EMDR can also be used for other stressors and concerns such as Test Anxiety, Fear of Driving, and insomnia (just to name a few.) Reducing distress, improving emotional regulation, and resolving past traumas are some of the known and common benefits from engaging in EMDR therapy.

Polyvagal Therapy

Polyvagal Therapy is a treatment method that follows and utilizes a mind-body approach by exploring and incorporating the nervous system.
