LCMHC, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
I have experience providing psychotherapy services in hospitals, community mental health, private practice, and university settings to those impacted by complex medical issues, unprocessed grief, divorce, eating disorders, family conflict, school issues, severe and persistent mental illness, and trauma. Prior to my career switch to behavioral health, I gained invaluable experience in retail, food service, and the higher education industry.
Welcome! You already made it to the first step, you are seeking guidance for your mental health journey! It takes a lot of strength and courage to do the first step and you made it. The first session consists of a clinical evaluation, which gives me the opportunity to gather background information about you and your goals.
I utilize a strengths-based, solutions-focused approach incorporating Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Gottman therapeutic modalities. From 2021-2025 I served on a DBT case consultation team with other therapists, psychologists, and social workers.
I strive to provide a safe and empathetic space where individuals and couples can freely express their thoughts and emotions, navigate life transitions, process traumatic or devastating experiences, and improve boundaries within their relationships.
I incorporate techniques addressing mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills into my work with clients.
My practice incorporates CBT as a structured, evidence-based approach that teaches clients to identify distorted thought patterns, challenge negative beliefs, build practical skills for managing emotions and behaviors through the use of behavioral activation, problem-solving, and cognitive restructuring.
I utilize motivational interviewing in my practice as an opportunity to assist individuals with resolving ambivalence around seeking therapy through active listening and affirming my client’s skills, strengths, and abilities.
