I provide goal-directed, collaborative therapy focused on embracing change as both constant and certain. I am trained and skilled in Solution-Focused Therapy, a goal-oriented and collaborative approach that helps individuals identify and build on their strengths to create positive changes in their lives. This method emphasizes finding practical solutions and fostering resilience, empowering individuals to navigate challenges effectively. I believe that individuals are the experts of their own experiences and possess the inner strengths and resources to overcome barriers to wellness and happiness. While I guide and support individuals in building skills to manage challenges, set realistic goals, and boost personal resilience, the responsibility for meaningful change rests with you. Taking the first step to find a therapist is a remarkable act of courage and an important investment in your well-being. I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds via telehealth, focusing on concerns such as anxiety, chronic stress, fear, shame, perfectionism, and self-critical patterns. I typically check messages after 6:00 p.m. (EST) weekdays and will respond as promptly as I can. Feel free to review my calendar for available sessions. Hi, I’m Sheena Burden, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I’m truly glad you’re here.
Reaching out for support takes courage, and I honor the step you’re taking. My heart for this work comes from years of walking alongside individuals and families facing overwhelming moments, both in private practice and throughout more than 13 years in hospital care management. Those experiences have taught me that people don’t just need tools — they need compassion, safety, and someone who genuinely cares.
In our sessions, you will find a space where you can slow down, breathe, and be fully seen without judgment. I believe healing happens when we feel supported and understood, and my goal is to meet you with warmth, patience, and deep respect for your lived experience.
I draw from CBT, ACT, and Solution‑Focused Therapy, but I always tailor the work to your needs and your pace. For clients who desire faith‑based support, I also offer Christian counseling, integrating spiritual encouragement and emotional care in a way that feels comforting, not pressured.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, grief, health challenges, or simply feeling lost, we’ll work together to uncover your strengths, clarify your values, and create gentle, meaningful steps toward the life you want. You won’t have to walk through the hard things alone — I’ll be right there with you, offering steady support and compassionate guidance.
If you’re ready to begin, I would be honored to walk this journey with you.
Change is good! I believe anyone can change, although it can be rough. Giving individuals the right tools and having emotional support is important when deciding to be a better version of yourself. I want to help with that. I'm here to help as a support system and a resource for making change accessible. Together we can work on the client's goals and make them a reality.

Hi there! I’m Savannah, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in North Carolina — and yes, I’ll likely have an iced coffee in hand during our sessions. I specialize in working with college students and adults in their 20s and 30s who are navigating anxiety, stress, or the lasting impact of trauma. My goal is to help you slow down, understand your emotions, and reconnect with who you are beneath the stress.
Max Ehrmann’s poem, Desiderata reads “you are a child of the universe and have a right to be here. In the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul”. The poem’s sentiment resonates with my counseling philosophy and approach. If you have been struggling with a new medical diagnosis, grieving the loss of a loved one or are overwhelmed in your role as a caretaker consider reaching out. I would be honored to assist you on your healing journey.
With over 20 years of experience as a therapist and as a clinical social worker in the medical field, I can help you embrace those aspects of yourself that calls for your attention and compassion. Providing a space where you can express whatever is in your heart that needs to be acknowledged, learned from and ultimately let go. Cultivating awareness as the foundation for healing, our sessions together will honor your innate wisdom, helping to create a path towards what you are most desiring.
Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I have a masters degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and I received my doctorate from Liberty University, in the field of community care and counseling with a focus in traumatology. I have worked in the mental health field since 2002 and became a licensed mental health therapist in 2010.
I’ve worked in a variety of fields including the school system with youth, residential treatment facilities, psychiatric treatment facilities for youth, in-home therapy for youth and adults, crisis response work, individual therapy, as well as couples therapy and group therapy.
I am very dedicated to my clients and I assist my clients to the best of my ability to achieve their therapy goals. I also believe therapy is not an extremely long period of time and I encourage my clients to work very diligently to achieve their goals in a reasonable timeframe. I do not believe therapy should be years and years of meeting with a therapist. I do not want a client to get dependent on me as a therapist. I want my clients to reach their goals and be able to gradually exit therapy in the best way possible.
I’m Melissa Turner, a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to helping you navigate the emotions and challenges of life. Hello! My name is Clover and I am a licensed clinical therapist and addiction specialist in the state of North Carolina. I look forward to the opportunity of learning and working together as part of our therapeutic process. I enjoy working with folks who are gender diverse and members of the LGBTQIA+ community who experience unique stressors and conflicts with their day-to-day lives. I also love working with folks who struggle with substance use either in addition to other life stressors or on its own especially in the context of substance use disorders being highly stigmatized. I focus on substance use treatment approaches with a functionality mindset to work on setting reasonable goals and expectations during the clinical process. I started my clinical work with addiction and grew as a therapist and person to see people from a whole-person perspective. Our difficulties, conflicts, our stressors do not define us for who we are and when they prevent or delay us from becoming our authentic selves is where the therapeutic process blossoms.
I believe everybody is always in a constant process of growing into our best selves and I hope to have the opportunity to work with you along this process too.

Hi, I’m Ashley. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and live in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina with my dog. My passion is supporting people in all stages of life work towards finding purpose and becoming the best versions of themselves. Maybe you can relate to some of my story. I became a therapist in 2019 to give back some of the hope that was given to me as I embarked on my own mental health journey. I remember thinking to myself, “Who am I?”, and “Am I good enough?”. I remember, and still know how that style of thinking can be overpowering, and become what I have learned to call “sticky thoughts”. These thoughts can lead to anxiety, depression, irritability, and can be the root cause of unhelpful coping skills and habits. Once we get into that negative cycle, it can feel impossible to get out. This occurred for many years, and consumed my entire being until I had support from family, therapists, sports coaches, and friends, and reached out for help. Let me tell you from experience, recovery is not easy. Working on yourself is one of the hardest things you can do, but the most rewarding, and I would be honored to walk alongside you as you do this meaningful work.
Please note that I do not currently have availability after 4 pm EST, and that I schedule in eastern time only.

Welcome! I'm Stephanie Freeman,MSW, LCSW, LCAS.
Take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because, let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time.
I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life.
Counseling can foster personal development in whatever way you may be seeking and help build the life you so deeply deserve. If that's what you're looking for, I'm here when you're ready to share.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, mentally unsteady, or unsure how to move forward — you don’t have to carry that alone.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduate of North Carolina State University. I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship stress, and questions of direction or purpose. Many of the people I support feel capable and motivated — yet internally worn down, struggling to feel grounded, present, or confident in themselves.
My primary focus is helping clients stabilize emotionally and mentally — so you feel more anchored, regulated, and clear. From that place of steadiness, we begin to explore how you can grow into the fullest version of yourself, making the most of your strengths, values, and lived experience rather than trying to become someone you’re not.
Therapy with me is not about pushing or fixing — it’s about creating a solid foundation where clarity, confidence, and meaningful change can naturally emerge. For those who find meaning and strength in their Christian faith, I welcome that as part of our work together — though spirituality is never required or assumed. You bring what matters to you, and we build from there.
